1 year - 1 story - 1 minute

Have been waiting for this day for what seemed like an eternity. Yay. A story that needed to be told, was ticking away within me, like a time bomb waiting to exlpode. I knew I had to make it. I knew it would be made. When? How? that I didn’t. Then last year, I came across PFCOne Film Fest. I promised myself that this will be the screening ground for my semi-autobiographical film - Ek Deewana Tha (EDT).
Due to some inexplicable oddbal situations I could not submit my entry. The last date passed by, like just another deadline. I kicked myself. Got drunk. No make that totally sloshed. Another wasted opportunity. Life goes on. EDT kept coming back over the months on various occasions (which almost always involved me getting drunk). I kept on developing & editing it (everything inside the bheja) but didn’t shoot it. Shame.
Time flies. Cut to 06.08.08, I see that logo again. Laughing at me. Screaming “LOSER”. I look back at that logo & say “I may not win, but this time I am gonna fuckin’ participate.” The whole storyline of EDT gushes back into my chaotic mind creating more ideas in the process. And yes, aaj mere paas sab kuchh hai… story hai, actor hai, hi-end video phone bhi hai…
Friends, I start shooting EDT tonight. I just wanna tell you all that we all have a story to tell, its just that we don’t go that extra-inch out of the comfort zone. We keep on postponing it, just becasue it is not a part of the regular scheme of things. I am a doctor / engineer, I am not ready yet / i dont have the technical know-how and on & on….The reasons will never end, but opportunities will pass by.
PFC One Film Fest is one such opportunity that I missed last year. Not this year. Not next year. Never ever again will I let go of any opportunity. I also wanna unveil the poster of my dearest project - Ek Deewana Tha.
May the best ONE win. Cheers to good cinema.

Title, sounds like Keyrun! Quintessentially. Waiting eagerly for the first day first show and preferrably first ticket as well. Knowing K, I know what the storyline would be but it will be great to see how it turns out on screen. Have seen it on God’s silver screen, it’s going to be fun to watch.
All the best buddy…May my best buddy win!
@Magic,
Good thrust you have taken. Your poster is quite good and gives an impression as if Meghe Dhaka Tara’s clouds are superimposed on some suspense thriller in this Sawan ka mahina.
Good going. Your film should be good.
All the best. Will wait to see your entry.

Hey Keyrun,
Everything that happens once can never happen again. But everything that happens twice will surely happen a third time.

Knowing Keyrun for a reasonable long time…all I can say about him is
“A tangy orange is a tangy orange! It shouldn’t be lighter and it can’t be darker and by that definition he become a perfectionist. Often referred to as “Salim Langda (Not Langda Tyagi)” by friends.
Retro fashion and music, along with Beer & Biryani is what gives him that kick!
He is an extremely dangerous dude who ran away from a mental hospital. He is an expert in cracking all time low jokes and laughing crazily. He was always been interested playing sports, reading various subjects and chasing girls. Blessed with good looks, a sense of humour and nimble mental agility has helped him for producing kick-ass worx.
Dynamic. Intense. High on Life. That’s Him!
Driven by constant learning and experimenting with new ideas, he strive to explore new horizons and challenges everyday. A perfectionist at work, he aim to deliver before deadlines (Sometime even before the brief reaches him).
It probably stems from his advertising addiction he want work to be fun. He want the walls around him to be done up with abusive graffiti and he also wish there were 2 Sundays in a week. Well, that could happen only in a utopian world, but then who said he wasn’t a perfectionist! And here he is, happily ever after!
If you happen to see him anywhere…errr..just take a chill pill….he is a harmless creature.
Just to inform you guys..the movie “Ek Deewana Tha” is a dream which we all have seen when we were struggling to step into the majestic world of Movies (Or for that matter Bollywood - we are still struggling folks). This movie is gonna be a pure magik.
Gawd Bless mere bhai…just dont forget to put my name in special thanks column of your movie. (You started it on 6th of August and that’s my Birthday man).
Insha Allah, rock the casbah. And don’t forget that we will have to be a part of “FilmFare 2009.
Do good. Rock Hard. Kick Ass. And don’t forget to Party even Harder.
Amen.
Luv n Luk.
