4 BOYS FROM DELHI

————————————————–

It’s been almost 2 years that I stumbled upon PFC one fine morning in New York and it has continued to inspire me ever since.

My love for filmmaking started when i ran into a book - Rebel Without A Crew by Robert Rodriguez … I can admit i didn’t understand all the technical jargon then… but the seed was sown . ..There has been no looking back since then.. As I immersed myself into cinema of all kind I kept coming across inspiring stories. ..How people have since forever and against all odds gambled everything that they have and directed some mind blowing stuff.

And then I decided that it was time for me as well to forego my secure job in an investment bank and return to India to try and eke out a living in what had become my passion. I chose the path of saving some pennies and making something on shoe string budget.. And here I am, back in the New Delhi finally ready to give it a shot. In terms of my learning, i attended workshops (from School Of Visual Arts, NYC) in filmmaking including Acting (from HB Studio), made couple of short films and scavenged for whatever knowledge I could find. So I am not someone who comes with loads of experience or a MFA from Columbia. Nor have i been shooting 8mm films since I was a kid unlike some other geniuses.

But here i am, putting everything i have to experience the journey of making a film…
And I am looking for some like minded people who share the same passion as me and would be interested in working together as a creative force.

I am highly obliged to PassionForCinema for allowing me to put this post on the website… and also to all the PFCites for their continued inspiration.

Hats off to PFC for providing a platform like this. Even my interest in film-making grew after i visited PFC. I learned that film-making is not a joke. You’ve got to be real intelligent (emotionally too!) and hard-working to direct a mind-blowing film.
