A low yield process supervised by a former Chemical Engineer. Many shortcomings in Process design, development, engineering and instalation. IMDB link/

@~uh~,
Nagesh has this tendancy to take inspiration from various sources since long. 3 Deewarein!
He mixes too many things like there he had taken the escape plan from the jail from S Redemption and Escape from Alcatraz but he changed a little and Naseer does not go via sewer pipe as jailor thinks he would go.

Same story from the POV of different characters:> rashomon.
Facts about a single event through the photos of different people present on the venue.:>8×10 Tasveer
Rashomon, as a motion picture has been a classic. Nagesh has the talent to make such a theme as a still photo. His scenes move but film does not.
and no problem in such an inspiration but there is Hardly any convincing angle anywhere in 8×10 tasveer and period in which film is set makes it more fake.
Before telecommunication and internet evolution such stories might have worked but now?
haha…I don’t think even Kukunoor had thought about the Roshomon angle. Would love to see your comment on my review, still up on the home page
Cheers!

stop cricizing its not that bad film. atleast he tried something new and it was not stupid bollywood flick.as a director he has always made good films, just because he is not popular here that doesn’t mean u make fun of him
@Aman,
Suspense Thrillers have two main things :
(1) Either destination is so thrilling and mysterious that audiences have no clue in advance what is going to happen or
(2) If suspense behind the final destination is not great then journey to reach at final destination is great and people enjoy the ride.
8×10 is weak in both the areas.
Everything was predictable.
Good things: Film was shot at good locations, Sharmila tagore’s clothing style is perfectly suitable, AK and Ayesha Takia ride their cycles with helmet on their heads ( as in so many films where shooting is done on foreign land, hindi film makers impose their indian understanding and ignore the local rules and regulations), and may be few more good small things but they dont make a film good.
yes in a good film they may add to the over all quality but in a weak film they stop to matter.
First the main thing which was understood as so solid base for this suspense thriller was too weak and illogical.
Height comes when mother has time to say the name of lost brother but she prefers waste time in telling Jay/Jai about old photo album.
From script to visual presentation and performances, film is weak. There is no justification to declare it as a good film. If you have some justification, please write in detail. May be your words may bring proper justifice to the film if world has been unfair to the film.
When you get Ashay Kumar like super star then you are relaxed as far as Box office success is concerned and one can make a very good film after signing such a successful super star. but this film is failed to bring that quality and thus loses the opportunity.
People are free to like any film or films of any filmmaker on personal basis. Thats subjective thing.
i’ve been thinking about a rashomon in an indian milieu, something like a riot situation, wherein, three people, one hindu, one muslim and one neutral, say, a foreigner, go to the cops and narrate the same riot scene
i’ve been thinking, someone should make a rashomon in an indian milieu, something like a riot situation, wherein, three people, one hindu, one muslim and one neutral, say, a foreigner, go to the cops and narrate the same riot scene from their own perception,
@vishal,
good concept. Hope some day good films will be made on a concept similar to Rashomon or inspired by Rashomon. Till now attempts have not been successful. Via Darjeeling!
