Bragging time. Nyaaah! But a little bit should be ok…
5000 posts baby!!!!
We crossed the 5000 blog posts mark yesterday.
Add to that over 109,000 comments, over 50 categories, 7000 plus tags, and close to a 1000 author accounts ever since we created an open Level II membership three months ago! WOW!
What’s your favorite PFC Blog post or posts?
To celebrate the special occasion, please TWITTER your favorite PFC posts since we took off in 2006… and add the hashtag #pfc5000
Would love to see all those posts in archives flowing out through your twitter accounts as your favorite ones!
And above all, thank you for sharing your passion, being brave and using PFC’s blogging platform and shooting it straight from the heart! It takes a lot of passion, energy, time and above all courage to stand alone on a platform and express yourself and then shaking hands with dozens of commenters or battling it out with a few… Hats off!
For this, a toast to you all! Keep the fire burning, the passion raging high!

how about a recollection with the maybe a special column on the first posts, the first set of scribers, initial celebrity writers, most discussed topics, and a smally tribute to regular contributors like RK and Ratnkara and many others…. I got huge demands I must say …

n yeah .. by the way .. congratulations…. lights… camera… action… blogs…

Some of my fav posts on PFC that instantly come to my mind are
1. The video interview of RGV.
2. Posts by Pankaj Advani
3. Gulzar – Sanjeev Kumar Connection.

Its a riot on Twitter with #PFC5000. Most votes going for Anurag’s I smoked classic Milds post. Guys send in your favs with links and hashtag #PFC5000 to @myPFC I think PFC is RTing all the tweets. Awesome!
For me that Anurag post is my fav too, thats what drove me here.
.
Then: posts from sid are good. He is crazy and pretty fucked up and thats what I like about his writing. Its like reading Kafka in a Lynch setting.
.
Hansal’s post on his experiences with the MNS was awe inspiring.
.
Humor: Oz you take the cake man!! Eternally grateful for the Torture series. Bitchin cool!
.
Uh’s post with the bubble diagram (Sankat City)
.
Vijay : for his super knowledge on cinema from a technical standpoint
.
Will put in more as I think of.
.
Narcissism spoiler alert: I like my post on 1) 81/2 the collective unconscious 2) Existentialism, Absurd and Pyaasa 3) Kaminey: India’s pulp fiction and 4) Three Colors blue review.

Err… Donno if this is the right place but thought I should let everyone know – incase they dont already – Paanch is out. A ‘preview edition’ of the movie is available for download. I am waiting with bated breath and wishing my d/l speed was higher.
Cheers PFC for 5000 posts.

badhayi.ab aisa hi ek blog hindi mein bhi aarambh ho.agale level par jaane ki planning bhi honi chahiye.meri shubhkaamnayen!
loading...
I second your opinion !! There should be a facility to write in at least in Hindi !
loading...
Oh no please no hindi
loading...
why VJ?is there any problem if one writes or talks in hindi about films?desh mein 41% hindi padhte aur samjhte hain.english padhne-samjhne wale kewal 10% hai.kya jayada readers tak pahunchna ya unhen films ki jaankari dena sahi nahin hoga?
loading...
meri sehmati hai aapse… shaayad ek alag kaksh banaa de PFC mei hi, toh na kewal logo ka aana jaana badhega, balki, VJ jaise annya log bhi bhaasha se thode aur parichit honge… hindi bhasha ne waise bhi ek sampark bhasha ki bhumika nibhani thi… agar ek kadam yahi se shuru kare toh bahut badhiya… bahut badhiya hoga agar hindi bhasha mei ka ek kaksh bane aur ek din VJ mann se us-e pasand bhi kare…

Main sehmat hoon. PFC mein devnaagri mein bhi posts likhne ka vikalp hona chahiye. Roman script mein padhne mein dikkat aati hai.
loading...
Its jarring on the mind to read hindi in English words. Or if there is a system for hindi words, just keep it as a separate section. Dont want to read hindi in English blogs. Its pretty uncomfortable. THe hindi loving tribe can go blog in a separate section
loading...
And no need to drum up numbers. Those 41% dont matter
loading...
it matters.even 95% of articles on PFC are about hindi films. :yahoo:
loading...
They do matter. That is quite a large number.
.
Main bhi unmein se he hoon. Bachpan mein filmo ke baare mein Dainik Jagran mein padha karta tha. Har shukrawaar/guruwaar ko aakhiri panne par filmo se sambandhit samachar hote the. Jaankidas ji ke cinema pe lekh bhi padhta tha.
loading...
dont matter, to whom? to you? then I guess if the blog portal does open, YOU dont GO there… and yeah no need to drum up conclusive reactions and judgement of who matters…. be a little more open to ideas or if you are not in favour of it, suggest it in a milder way…
loading...
Just keep the hindi script/ font section separate so that the rest dont have to endure it

My favorite on PFC for long long time has been The Torture series… I still laugh out very very loud when I go through it….. “Tere Jaat ka baida maru” (Will hit you wih eggs of your caste”) …. Insanely Hilarious. Thanks OZ

What i love about PFC is the opportunity it offers to discuss and debate on movies, and allows differing viewpoints. Much unlike some blogs, where the comments section seems more of air kissing.
Also love the way, most of the authors respond to comments. And most importantly, this is the forum, where we can discuss movies that are not too well known, but worth a watch.
loading...
And the best thing is that, this is a site, where true passion for cinema is celebrated. A place where a post on Fellini co exists with a fan boy tribute to Joginder. Where B Movies are celebrated as much as Artistic Movies. Where indie and mainstream movies both rub shoulders.

Congrats PFC! I am reading PFC for almost 2 years, i first noticed it when i was searching about “Black Friday”. Lots of fav and lots of very high quality post. But i hate reviews … recently i see lots of reviews and less film making or other posts … i would love to read more indie, world cinema and experiential posts than reviews of regular commercial films… which we can also read on other website … PFC should differentiate and it is the same differentiation which brought me too PFC
loading...
Well said. Yes, we are having less of the stories of experimental or any films. The makers write about their films only when their films are releasing. It is left to the reviews and regular authors to hold fort
loading...
Congratulations PFC! This site is THE best site on Indian movies.

OK its off the topic but preview copy of Paanch torrent has been leaked online. just google. Me downloading , I’ll watch leaglly if it ever comes to cinemas. Rumor has it that Anurag himself made it leak bcoz he has lost all hope of releasing it. Long live piracy. :yahoo:
