yah sawal maine anurag kashyap aur imtiyaz ali donon se poochha.mujhe koi achambhaa nahi hua jab donon ne kaha ki ham saath-saath aa rahe hain.
anurag ne spasht kaha ki imtiyaz mere bahut purane dost hain.ham ek-doosre ke saath sabhi tarah ki baaten karten hai.mujhe maloom rahta hai ki iimtiyaz kya likh rahe hain.main unki tarah ki films nahi bana sakta aur woh meri tarah ki film ke baare mein nahi sochte,lekin ham donon khulkar ek-doosre ki script ki cheed-faad kar sakte hain.mujhe kuch pasand nahi hai to main bagair kisi jhijhak ke unhe bata sakta hoon.imtiyaz ki film JAB WE MET ki kafi charcha ho rahi hai.main khush hoon.mujhe is baat se koi dikkata nahi hai ki ham donon ki films ek hi din aa rahi hain.
anurag ne aage kaha ki hamare aage-peechhe badi-badi films aa rahi hain.phir bhi mujhe chinta nahi hai.is baar to dekhiyega ki hamlogon ki jeet hogi.is baar bangladesh aur zimbabwe world cup jeet kar le jaayenge.anurag mante hain ki hamare liye mushkil imthaan hai.agar is daur mein hamari films survive bhi karti hain to yah badlav aur change ki ghanti hogi.
doosri taraf NO SMOKING dekh chuke imtiyaz ali mante hain ki anurag hamare samay ke jyada jaankaar filmmaker hair hain.imtiyaz ki rai mein anurag instinctive filmmaker hain isliye unki films ka mijaj alag hota hai.anurag educated filmmaker hain.
NO SMOKING ke baare mein imtiyaz kahte hain ki film dekh kar main sann rah gaya.mujhe yakin nahi ho raha tha ki hamare beech ka koi filmmaker itne progressive aur aage ki film bana sakta hai.bahut hi innovativeaur interesting film hai NO SMOKING.hindi film industry mein aisi film ka banna aage badha ek majboot kadam hai.
anurag aur imtiyaz ki kamyabi bahut hi significant aur doorgami asar ki hogi.anurag aur imtiyaz donon hi so called small town se aaye filmmakers hain.anurag belag bolte hain aur imtiyaz thode khamosh mijaj ke hain.donon hi lambe taiyari(struggle) ke baad yahan tak aaye hain.anurag ko in dinon hindi film industry mein virodh ki awaz mana jaata hai.anurag har naye filmmaker ka support karte hain,isliye unhe young filmmakers ka aghoshit leader maan liya gaya hai.
anurag mante hain ki corporatisation ke halle ke bawjood industry mein jyada change nahi aaya hai.purane aur sthapit banners naye ideas aur logon ka swagat nahi karte.himmat badhane ki baat door.unhe samrthan bhi nahi diya jaata.

I normally would’ve skipped JWM…romance not being my favourite genre…but I’ve seen Socha Na Tha and it was a nice watch. But I’ll still wait for reviews and then watch it.

I agree to imtiyaz view abt no smoking being progressive and aagake cinema and i fear that wud work against the film.. Jab we met will get a dhamaka opening.

Dono bhake hi achche dost hain but dono ki film making main bahut difference hai…..aur ye baat sabhi jantey hain…….aur hum aap ki baat se bilkul sehmat hain ki bade bade banners sirf naam ke bade hain wo log naye talent ko kabhi bhi nahi appriciate kartey hain……..Anurags’s film is a directors film jab ki JWM is a commericial film…dono filmein ek dusre se bilkul alag hain….I want to see no Smoking and i m waiting for the movie to release but i JWM is not my type of movies so sorry no comments for that
NO Smoking is looking just too good…i’m not able to exactly make out what it is…i think it must be a better, a much better, version of Darna Mana Hai story….n JWB is looking very very cute…Kareena is looking damn sweet…i don’t think any actor could have suited the role more than she has….her dialogue “main to apni favourite hoon” sounds very sweet, innocent n honest…gonna watch this movie for her….n ofcourse Imtiaz Ali…
i am a film student.i have an aversion towards the movies we make.i cant digest most of the movies we do.the funny part is the movies come out of a system where the value mechanism is highly esteemed.i also understand that people dont understand a nice,quick,edgy movie like a JOHNNY GADDAR(recent times).but who is really responsible?
the filmakers themselves have conditioned the audience to accept and devour any filth and garbage.when i see other foreign films i feel we have a long way to go.still people say “your own shit is better than others”.but do these filmakers turn blind and dont reflect on their work.many come from pune based film school to create heap of non sensical shit.
i as an aspiring filmwriter and filmaker sometimes feel overrawed by this entire scenario.i constantly question myself who will understand my work.
then i see the light in the end of the tunnel.example in ANURAG KASHYAP a different sensibilty,a different approach.he does some scripts just for money.but that is the best way to keep afloat.thus no smoking is very appealing for me. MR.imtiaz ali IS bundle of talent.his treatment of love stories is immaculate.i was personally involved in the making of the movie.so got a chance to witness the man at work. WISH BOTH OF THEM TO MAKE MERRY BEFORE OSO sets in.
