Acid Factory : Teaser Trailer
PFCdesktop | Qwiki | July 30, 2009 at 8:47 pm
The trailer is in. Acid Factory stars Fardeen Khan, Dia Mirza, Irrfan Khan, Manoj Bajpai, Dino Morea, Aftab Shivdasani, Danny Denzongpa… and is directed by Suparn Verma and produced by Sanjay Gupta’s White Feather Films.
With a lot of action, blasts, fire, shooting, stunts, somersaulting cars, black suits, black tie, black glasses, black shoes (cancel that one out as we didn’t see the shoes)… and the traditional helicopters… here’s the trailer…..

Birds of White Feather flock together in black suit. Can anyone confirm is it …err…influenced (or remake)of Unknown (2006) [Colombian title: Mentes en Blanco] ?
imdb says the story is by sanjay gupta
wb….are u being sarcastic here
???
“Story by Sanjay Gupta”…
he he he
nice one.
No, am just suffering from ‘Acidity’. Why are you laughing btw ?
these guys are visionaries… without whose creative-labor-painstakingly delivered babies the hindi cinema would have been deprived of the following gems
kaante a.k.a reservoir dogs
plan a.k.a suicide kings
musafir a.k.a u-turn
zinda a.k.a old boy
shootout at lokhandwala a.k.a breaking news (daai si gin)
chhal a.k.a donnie brasco
qayamat a.k.a the rock
karam a.k.a the potpourri of kill bill + collateral + mexican
ek musafir ek hasina a.k.a confidence
so the question is… is acid factory = unknown??
i’d say wait until sep 09, for the facts to become *known*.
yes. it’s remake of unknown movie.
Just the first scene of the trailer where in a car blows put me off. No matter how much money we spend on movies somethings never change. Cars are shown blowing up in a shoddy manner for ages now in indian cinema and this one seems to be no better. Rest of the trailer did look decent though.
Somehow the cars seem to be only Daewoo Cielos all the time. Even in Johnny Gaddar
one more flop.. waste of resources, i mean money not the actors (most of them). surely a copy of some film that did not release in india…could ve released that film instead of making a copy.
lol DK, i agree, same car-rolls-on-a-hill kind of stunt. after watching luck, i just hope this one has some good story. how can bollywood compete with action in cinema world over anyway??
White Feather is getting ready for another Acid Test
i kept waiting for sanjay dutt’s name? what he isnt in the movie? SHOCKER! btw, if you close your eyes and listen to the BG music i swear it seems as if you are watching kaante/musafir/plan. just admire sanjay gupta consistency…
Agree with you that BG score reminds BG of Kaante, by the way some time back i read some where that acid factory starts from where kaante ended… any information regarding it, is it true…?
it probably is true…it will surely start from the same mire of mediocrity and banality
Unprecendented images. I don’t care how why but this looks cool. What’s with the bad casting though. Dino Morea! Aftab! who wants to see them? so 2005…
WOW! What a bad trailer..and that’s their teaser trailer, the first look.. at least they could have made the trailer interesting.
On the one hand Sanjay Gupta is producing Pankh and The great Indian Butterfly, then why does he want to compensate it with such films?
guy ritchie! guy ritchie! guy rithcie!
The whole of Bollywood (if not India) should be grateful to Sanjay Gupta for introducing them to a Kaanta called Quentin Tarantino and the curious cuisine of Korean cinema.
Now with this latest all-star ensemble of the White Feather (Re-)Productions, everyone from SRK to Tushar Kapoor must be getting
UNKNOWN buterflies in the stomach.
Fardeen Khan + Aftab + Dino Morea in the same film? What an (acidic) treat!
So what kind of conversation would Gupta and Suparna have had:
SG: I have a story in mind which has been playing back on my mind continuously after reading a newspaper article
SV: Let me have it
SG: Gives the synopsis visible in http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Acid_Factory
SV: Totally phadu boss, I would love directing this
OR
SG: I saw a movie the Unknown yesterday, yeh le uska priated DVD
SV watches it and comes back
SV: Lets make it boss, we will need to introduce a female lead character. Uske alava, we can remake it as is.
===
Why does SG never learn!
Whats with Sanjay Gupta and his Sepia Fetish? The dude needs to discover colour.
Sepia+Fast Editing = Slick Film production
But Supern Varma had made Chhal and yeah kya ho raha hain (He could be the saving grace).
So lets wait and watch.
these guys can’t even make a trailer without ripping off. the complete text is a copy past of the rock n rolla trailer.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-D3c25_3l8
Absolute “W O M B A T”…….high time for the director to understand these “pot-boilers”ain’t work no more….
the casting style looks like guy ritchie’s rock n rolla haaa haaa
@bhagyaraj: Chhal was made by Hanslal Mehta! Suparna Verma made the FK/FK movie, forget the name which was all stolen style and no substance.
@ravi thanx for correcting.
you know may be these guys copy. but most people dont have the taste for enjoying good kinda films. Atleast some curiosity or taste would develop among masses after watching these cheap imitations.
being over optimistic I guess
