Actors,Film makers, technicians on PFC – what w’d be the future !

Oz brought first Anurag Kashyap to the PFC then he requested Pavan Kaul to join us and later Oz got success in bringing Suparn Verma on PFC. Rajkumar also gave his consent after persistent requests from OZ. As luck was favouring PFC, Dino Morea became first actor who reached at PFC site and commented with his real name, though there may be few filmi people commenting with pseudo names. Dino’s efforts are praise worthy. He did not hide his identity and showed great interest in PFC to encougae us- the cine lovers.

All going good and all of sudden Mid Day publishes a stupid 6 line report without digging in to the matter and tries to create confusion between Anurag Kashyap and Pavan Kaul. They dont belong to similar school of film making and there is hardly any competition between their kind of cinema then why someone did this effort?

In retrospection it looks that this is very small event and if more real actors and film makers will join PFC then such scenes will happen in future also. But this is part of evolution process. Like any human being actors and film makers are also humanbeing with human weaknesses. Their actions and reactions are also similar to any other human being.

Few questions raise their heads. PFC authors dissect films depending their understanding and liking disliking. When a director is on board then how to dissect his film as you like? This puts more responsibility and it asks more genuine approach from reviewer and it gives a good opportunity to that director/ film maker also because here he gets unbiased analysis of his film. Reviewer is not attached to any magazine etc so that finance is associated.

PFC can be a truely democratic platform where cine lovers and film makers both party can get benefits. In real life our social circle is small because how many people one can meet in person? So a wide cross section of people is available here which is difficult to find in real life. In real life we meet people having similar thinking or working in similar fields because that gives us a comfort feeling but that does not enhance our knowledge or skill. But on such platform we can interact with pesron who has seen cinema other than Indian, hollywood or european cinema. we can find person who has read lot of literature and can give that kind of input.

If we cross this initialy phase where some people will try to create confusions between these actors, film makers then PFC will be an unique platform. Natuarlly few people will satisfy their frustration against these actors and film makers by commenting anonymously or with pseudo names but it should not be a big problem because this is already quite in fashion in filmi world and Magazines are engaged in this game since long.

Recent event provides just a small test for PFC and PFC has passed this litmus test quite skillfully.

    RK,

its true that PFC passed the test with flying colours. However, another thing that is destined is that as the site grows bigger, as more and more people start writing and contributing, it will also attract negative publicity. its bound to happen – its a part of life.

I was happy to see the statments made by contributors against midday. But, I also felt that in someway we probably overreacted. Its the price of fame and its bound to happen.

Ilook forward to the one day that this site will be bigger than all of us…positive or negative publicity will at that moment not matter.

    Cheers to our passion bro.

Do you feel we over reacted?

This has happened many time and is happening that people dont speak against wrong doings of some and then these wrong doers are increased in number and their power and thus start affecting.
Our reactions were to show that Pavan is right and Mid Day is not only wrong but has done cheap and henious act.
If media has certain power then it should not misuse that power lese day is not far when credibility of media will fall to zero level.
AB can handle media while maintaining silence for years because he had control over BO. But when it was time for his over all credibility in Bofors isssue then he fought in court. If Mid Day trashes Pavan’s film opting analytical methods then its their preragative but anyone cant use media power to personally insult him for things which everybody is doing.
