Anurag Kashyap – Journey – NDTV
Just found one link for this interview in NDTV site. So thought many of us might not have seen this. Anurag Kashyap speaks about his inspirations, his films, personal life and future.
This interview is dated before the news came in that Bombay Velvet may have SRK and Aamir with Danny Boyle being the producer.

It’s tough to see him cry but I know those are tears of happiness! More power to you Anurag! After Kieslowski’s Three Colours trilogy, I am waiting for the Bombay Velvet trilogy. I hope it does THAT to Indian cinema.
It’s worth investing in the whole 23 minutes, which fly by. Filmmaking is about courage.
Vah, who goes on TV with bare feet? I love it. And, I didn’t know there was a Princeton connection to Bombay Velvet. I’m very excited about that.
I’m also very excited about Bombay Velvet. To have Aamir, SRK together, I hope now the majority film goers in India would take note of the difference that he’s brought to Hindi Cinema.
Badi kamini cheez hai.
‘on the show…you mean…this show?’
He can make the bloody ALPHA MALE gush.
Anyways this was a super gush fest.
Almost like the early SRK interviews.
Where everyone, interviewer, listeners all are
generally gushing and loving the man.
It’s great to see him in such Coffee with Whoever Interviews too.
Ok, now back to cinema
One more brilliant interview where Anurag gives his insighful & honest opinion . Thanks for that. Anurag is doing worth from his side to uplift Indian cinema but there are others also doing their share in bits. Still one question ponders over my mind about pfc group. Why is there so much celebration at pfc for every small news of Anurag Kasyap? Its the same as chasing stardom in whose laybrinth whole bollywood is grasped.
Excellent,honest and a sincere interview !!!
GK
nice interview…at 19:23 though, it says ‘Dev D features the Toilet Players’ instead of Twilight Players lol NDTV fail!

@Rasik….you will have to buffer the whole video bro…then use anyone of the widely used mozilla plugins to download and convert the stream..
ok..buffering the whole thing is important…i did not know that…i was using download helper on mozilla like i do it on youtube…thank you man…thnx a lot…
What Can I say… 23 minutes is too little to understand his thought process…
Big Respect to true talent…

And here’s Mr.Naseeruddin Shah’s take on Anurag, “Anurag Kashyap’s got “testicular strength” and first time directors make for the best experiences”

I wonder how many people would have enjoyed AK’s movies without media perception.
how can media perception make a bad movie enjoyable?
Apparently, it can. It’s like one of these frontier areas of research right now and general consensus is that it can.
A good book that talks about this stuff is ‘The Black Swan’ by Nassim Nicholas Taleb
it so totally can … negative publicity can make some movies like a taboo to be broken … extremely positive reviews can make a movie overbearing and too obnoxious…
I did. Hadn’t heard of the man before Dev.D and No Smoking.
feauting the toilet players, lol. did anyone catch that ?
