The Angrez is one film which most of the hyderabadi’s will be able to connect. The last authentic hyderabadi urdu-hindi-english speaking movie was “Hyderabad blues” and most of you guys out there must have seen it, but there was more than whats shown and spoken about hyderabad. I was born and bought up in Hyderabad and cafés over there are some what special because they have been there for many years and they hold a special place in history of Hyderabad and they are inexpensive places to hang out (My fav’s are alpha hotel, blue sea, paradise, hotel sohail and café bahar) all you need to do is to order a chai and that’s it… the place is yours for couple of hours, that’s what the main characters in this film do. But one day suddenly they get into a fight with Angrez (Not exactly English guys …

College days are memorable in every ones life. Happy Days is Shekar Kammula’s latest offering which takes us through the good, bad and ugly days of college life. Here he has 5 dynamically different characters and most us have either met them or we are the character itself. Happy Days does not educate or enlighten audiences but it does entertain. Lets look @ these characters

1) Chandu (by Varun Sandesh): He is the central character who steers the direction in which film is going. the character is boy next door.

2) Rajesh (by Nikhil): His role is of tapori, hyper and over energetic . He likes every other girl in college including a sexy english teacher (cameo by Kamilini Mukherjee).

3) Tyson (by Rahul): Smart and caring. He is sort of friend that every one like to have in their life. I think most people will like his character.

4) Shankar …

Movies some times test Intelligence of audiences and questions it. But Johnny Gaddar is different you know who the Gaddar is but it still succeeds in creating the air of suspense amongst viewers and characters in the film. Johnny G is Sriram’s homage to Vijay Anand and James Hadley Chase. I’m not going to review this one but there are somethings that I would like to share with y’all and I’m not going to reveal the whole story so I will say why you should watch Johnny G

Plus points:
There are lot of things in Johnny G that work here are few to mention….

1) Titles: It reminds you of technology that was available in 70’s & 80’s and it blends in very well with the narrative style.

2) Music: Johhny G has Kick ass music, Back ground score is simply superb, you get this feeling that you are …

There are some directors in bollywood who were tired of the same old ghisa pita stories and decided to give audiences some new movies like Khosla ga Ghosla, EK Hasina Thi, Black Friday, Blue Umbrella, Ek Chalis ki last local etc., here are five movies from down south which I would like to *Introduce* — I chose the word introduce because, sadly, the main stream media avoided talking about most of these movies — that were, irrespective of their box office earnings, successful in their attempt to be different.

Mogudu, Pellam, O Dongodu (Husband, Wife, and a Thief)

Mogudu Pellam O Dongodu (MPOD) is a unique movie, probably the first of it’s kind in Telugu. It’s a movie with only 3 characters who, for different reasons, end up spending time confined to a one room.

Raja (Anand in Anand) and Shriya (the lass who saves Sivaji’s ass by waving her …

When ever you watch any great movie there is a particular character that stay’s with you for ever and some times that character is so powerful that it changes the way you act in real life. Here are some of those characters that I can never forget in my life

1) Derek Vinyard (American History X): If there is powerful character in motion pictures this is definetly one of them, you get to see two totally different characters as movie unfolds. First one a Nazi Skinhead, brilliant student is exploited by single minded christ disciple builds an army to take over people of different colors around him and the second one is of caring brother who will give his life to make things better for his family. You see a stong minded person changing in due course of time and his experience in prison plays an important role in changing him. Here …

Chiranjeevi has been my first hero. when i was like 7 or 8 years I thought hero is someone like chiranjeevi and as grew older i started finding out about him the good work he’s done through blood bank and eye bank. As we entered into the new millenium number of fans of chiranjeevi increased by huge numbers and I feel he is trapped into this whole world of god like thing where many fans worship him. which makes him do stupid movies like stalin, mrugaraju and other shitty movies that he’s doing for past few years. But chiranjeevi is one of the best actors in India along with Kamal Hassan, Amitab bachhan and Superstar Rajini. All these great actors are made to do movies that are safe bet for producers cause of fans. Before chiru turned into this god like figure he did a movie called …

Saw Seven Samurai Last Night, It was one hell of piece of art. After watching it I realized why people call Akira Kurasowa as one of the best in cinema history. Ok all praises apart after 30 minutes into the movie I couldn’t resist my self comparing with our own Sholay. When ever a new character was introduced I compared it with sholay’s character. Here is short synopsis:

The story is set in 16th century. There is a village and they don’t have any food to eat, it’s about harvest season and there is fear of group of bandits attacking the village again and take all rice as they did last year. So people of village consult granddad of village and decide they should hire Samurai’s and fight against bandits. Finally they hire 7 samurai and fight against bandits that is the basic plot. But in seven samurai …

Hello every one,

First of all thanks to Oz for inviting me to write on PFC, Thanks to Karthik Krishnan for introducing me to PFC. Here is my first review on PFC hope u guys like it

The prestige is a brilliant film that portrays rivalry between two great magicians, who are willing to do any thing to learn each others tricks. Before I start reviewing why “The Prestige” is such a brilliant film I would like to share my experience how I enlightened my self about Christopher Nolan. Last year some time i was watching “Ghajini” (Tamil Remake of Memento) i thought it was ok, lot of people told me that the original version …
