Vipin Handa
You saw him on the television in Saptahiki in mid 70s.In 80's he captured hearts with Fursat Mein, and his 50 week long presence in Baaton Baaton Mein and Aamne Saamne turned Handa into an overnight talk show titan. His Dastak on Zee TV ran for 18 months bringing the story of rape victims and police atrocities into public consciousness. His debut directorial venture Uff Yeh Mohabbat launched debutantes Abhishek Kapoor and Twinkle Khanna, and finally Koshish Foundation was launched, an NGO that helped unemployed adolescent girls in Dehradun. Handa is currently writing a book for Wisdom Tree, with 14 short stories in English and Hindi. He is also the advisory member of the Wisdom Tree panel. He is writing for a weekly newspaper section called "Vipin Handa Speaks" which treats legends from the Indian film industry such as Salman Khan, Aamir Khan and Amitabh Bachchan. Handa is planning to direct his next ventures 'Kalash' and 'Jashn' with Salman Khan and Ranbir Kapoor respectively. By writing on PFC, Handa plans to revive his old love and passion for cinema.
