Baraah Aana releasing on 20th March
We have been hearing so much about this movie. Naseer saab has been raving about it, well, he doesnt do that to every movie of “even” his. It has got some great reviews and reaction. A couple articles on PFC has shown how much we have been waiting for it.
Are you going to watch it?

If anyone hears news of this being released in the US I hope you’ll post it here.
It sounds good. The descriptions of it remind me of White Tiger, but the trailer does not. So – there is probably still room for a White Tiger movie.
Om, looks like a good movie. If it releases here in Phoenix let me know.
In the month of June-July the filmmaker is visiting US with his film. He would be traveling from one city to another with the film…like the old time traveling cinema.
Will give more dope as I hear it.
frankly! Saw its premier at PIFF (Pune Int’nl Fest). Really bad! Not impressive atatll! Of course half of PFC will go “ga-ga” over it being a simple plot, medium budget & all that stuff. But, frankly, NOT IMPRESSED.
Looks awesome from the trailer.
I hope 32 is wrong about it.
Huh?? ARe you blind? I saw it at PIFF also and the crowd went crazy about it! It’s a good film, maybe not a masterpiece, but still quite well made and really funny in its own quirky way.
Did Naseer ever speak in this trailer?
@Mainak,
I would be glad if I’m wrong. Nothing personal against anyone here or film itself, just that we should not get into praise of any film just because it’s simple (which is hard to portray, agreed) or medium budget or whatever reason. But I just wanted to voice my opinion. I wish it does well on BO as Vijay Raaj & Arjun Mathur are also talented people who need recognition. & well, who can tell, director & actors of this film may be big thing tomorrow.
@ Devika
I’m sure crowd was crazy but that does not make cinema a good one. They do go crazy at “Partner” too. Does that qualify it as good cinema? Forget that, I think with this rate of reactions, I can prove my point that “Of course half of PFC will go “ga-ga” over it being a simple plot, medium budget & all that stuff. ” Anyway, I do not mean to offend anyone. But I couldn’t help vocing my opinion. Thanks & Regards,
32
Just saw an ad. The poster puts in aamir khan’s take on the film. So now, an Aamir Khan says he njoyed a Naseer film and so the audience shud see it…what times are these…
@Sonofabeech…Baraah Aaana releasing in Phoenix is like phoenix getting the highest rainfall in US..Kabhi..Nahi!!
Arthi..yeah..but, as long as the movie gets publicity and audience to coem watch it, its all good
@Om you are right… as long as the audience comes…
any news of UAE release ( Dubai ) ?
32, point taken, we all are entitled to our individual opinions. My point was (1) I really liked it, and (2) judging by their reactions, I think most everybody at PIFF did, too. I’ve also disliked films all my friends seem to like (especially Slumdog), but I felt it should be noted that most people at PIFF seemed to like the film.
By the way, Partner was not so bad! Completely mindless Bollywood gobbledy gook, but as far as that kind of film goes, not bad. Just my opinion.
@ All
Sorry if I have offended you all by ways of expressig myself. Sorry for all! :D
@ Devika point taken! :P
I’m not going to like it just for its being small-budget!! but so far it sounds good to me. And that’s great news if the filmmaker is coming to the US with the film. IF by then the India WOM is good on it, he might be able to get a little bit of a push from Slumdog-mania. IF IF IF!!
