Inconsistent Bhoot but the fillum is funnish, sadish (melodramatic) and happyish. Good enough for me. 4/5

    I really enjoyed this fillum!
    Juhi Chawla was EXCELLENT!
    And she looked fantastic!

Big B was damn good too.
    A decent film.
    Very entertaing…

Songs? Could’ve done without I guess.
But ‘Jaane Do’ was a massive treat for any Juhi fan.

Why don’t I have the dvd to this?!
I’ll get it next week :-)

    ‘Entertaing’ is a new word.
Yet to make it’s way in The Oxford Dictionary ;-)

    And stay this time yaar!

    So u have the dvd?
Well u could send it this way, and I could exchange and send u 80’s bolly films! :-)

Back to the fillum, didn’t u guys think that the 1st few mins were a bit too dark in tone?
    Compared to the whole film?

  5. Well I did like Bhootnath.of course towards the end it got a bit too senti but otherwise the camaraderie between Big B & the kid was too good.

Overall a fun movie to watch- not a strain on the viewer actually. And didnt the end of the movie suggest a sequel? :)

Yeah Sethu, it definitely hinted that na?

But that may or may not happen.
Although, if it does, it has to have a strong storyline, or maybe even a similar style of humour and entertainment value.

The kid (forgotten his name!) was very confident.

    But Juhi?
    Amazing! What a performer!

  7. Steve- I’m sure if the sequel ever gets made then
they’ll try and see to it that they have a decent plot to keep us engrossed once again.

Well Juhi even got to test her vocals in this movie & so its quite special for her. Also SRK & Juhi were paired again together after a long time- the last movie in which they appeared together was Paheli where she played his bhabhi :)

All in all a time pass flick!!!

Areah Steve, you don’t analyze or over praise such movies. But yep, in first 20 minutes they tried to be uber-cool – it didn’t work out.

O Meri Monica – yep the film is good – it is not a dumb-downed movie or over smart. and the film moves at a good pace.

True, Mr Goonda, but I still remember some kids getting a bit freaked out by the begining of the film in the cinema.

The film shifted gears a few times from RGV horror, to comedy, and then to ‘Baghban’ mode.

Then again, most kids are exposed to so much horror anyway these days, that I reckon the film scared me more than them!

  10. Steve I gues what you mentioned about you getting scared more than the kids must be true :) atleast I can say it with my experience of watching Bhootnath.

One more thing about the movie- I’ve found out that the movie has been accepted a lot by families ( with the help of kids) and they’ve been watching it more than once @ home.I guess Moser Baer’s DVD @ Rs.50 in India is a big help :)

  12. Steve- oh! didnt you know this? Moser Baer has been releasing both old & new movie ( bollywood & other Indian languages) DVD’s @ Rs.50 ( some of the old ones are even @ Rs.34 & 39 :) ) for quite some time.

Now when one gets an original DVD for around Rs.50 why even think of a pirated DVD.Its a great attempt to combat piracy my friend. And yes do tell me when you intend to move back to India my friend!!!
