release ki do dinon ke baad ‘ta ra rum pum’ thodi sambhal gayi thi,lekin friday ko opening nahi milne se yashraj films ko yeh message to mila hi hoga ki unhe apni films ke content par dhyan dena chahiye.yashraj films ki marketting aur packaging jabardast hoti hai.apne network aur proffesional attitude se yashraj films ghatiya se ghatiya films mein bhi munafa kama lete hain.aaj kal yashraj films bata raha hai ki ‘ta ra rum pum’ ki family india ki favourite family hai.audience ko kaha ja raha ki unke saath celeberate karen.sachchai kya hai?trade pandit bata chuke hain.’ta ra rum pum’ flop ho chuki hai. 30 percent ki openig yashraj ke liye badi chetavni hai.
hindi film industry mein yashraj films ki kamyabi se aadhe dare hue hain aur aadhe log jalte hain.contnuous success se yashraj films ka self confidence itna badh gaya hai ki unme arrogance aur attitude aa gaya hai.yashraj films ke creative proffesionals ko lagta hai ki woh kisi bhi film ke liye audience ko cinema hall mein le aayenge.distribution aur exhibition ki strategy se films theaters mein chali jaayegi aur jabardasti chalti bhi rahegi,lekin audience ko cinema hall mein jabardasti nahi ghusaya ja sakta.’ta ra rum pum’ ki media publicity par yashraj films aur is film ke artists ne dhyan nahi diya.sab is ghalatfahmi mein rahe ki audience ko to aana hi hai.
thoda dhyan den to payenge jyadatar big banners se ghatiya aur sadharan films hi aa rahi hain.yeh films weekend mein jyada prints se business to kar leti hain,lekin 1-2 hafton ke baad unka ata-pata nahi rahta.soda water ke bubbles ki tarh kuch time ke baad jhag baith jata hai.afsos ki baat hai ki big banners in dinon munafe ko dhyan mein rakh kar safe aur viable films bana rahi hain.cinema ek art medium bhi hai,lekin uski taraf unka dhyan nahi hai.
ek samay tha ki big banners aur big directors ki films ka audience intezar karte the.unki films ke floor par jaate hi khabren aane lagti thi.directors bhi passionately kuch naya karna aur audience ko dikhana chahte the.idhar hindi films ka technical standard badh gaya hai,lekin contents aur stories ka dayra simat gaya hai.chote aur independent directors aur producers hi experiments karte nazar aate hain.big banners aur big directors ek hi tarah ki designer films bana rahe hain.banner alag hoga,director alag honge,actors bhi alag honge,lekin films ka content aur impact ek jaisa hoga.aisi uniformity pahle nahi dekhi gayi.sari films more or less ek jaisee lagti hain.
kaha ja raha hai ki hindi films ke liye yeh behatarin daur hai.audience bhi taiyar hain.multiplex mein experimental aur nayee films chal rahi hain.lekin big banners ghatiya films produce karne mein busy hain.kya ‘ta ra rum pum’ ke flop hone ke baad big banners badalenge?umeed karne mein kya burai hai.umeed pe duniya tikee hai aur films bhi.

Ajay-bhai, umeed to nazar aa rahi hai.
Aisa bhi nahin hai ke YashRaj aur baaki badi film companies kuch acha karne ki nahin sochti hogi, lekin kyun ke woh bade level par, bade budget ke saath filmein bana thi hai to woh apna risk kam karne ke liye stars, publicity aur packaging ka sahara leti hai. Ho sakta hai ke agar tere mere jaise log YashRaj ke liye creative executives yaa phir koi aise position mein kaam karte to shayad humko bhi content ke saath saath yeh sab dekhne ki zaroorat padhti.
Mujhe Ta Ra Rum Pum pasand nahin aayi. Lekin, is ke bawajood main yeh bhi nahin ke sakta ke yaar, kya soch kar YashRaj aur Aditya Chopra ne is film to back kiya.
On paper Ta Ra Rum Pum does have a decently storyline which had good potential given the right treatment. In this case many were disapointed with the final outcome since the treatment was too cliched and cheezy. But often times you don’t see such things during the development phase.
Personally I say that, given their track record, we can let another film go.
I mean, compartively speaking if Subhash Ghai has given us “Joggers Park”, “Rahul” and “Iqbal”, he’s also given us “Yaadein”, “Kisna”, and low budget films like “Khanna & Iyer” and the recently released “Good Boy Bad Boy”.
So even the production houses backing lower budget commercial cinema is faltering, and that too much worse than YashRaj and others.
For some reason, just looking at the lineup of upcoming films, I feel there is hope that things will turnaround over the next year or so and better, more gripping films will come out of these bigger production houses.
Tara Rum Pum flopping is just a rumour. Yah, it’s true that it’s done lesser business than expected from a Yash Raj film.
cinema ko pure business banane me aur film ko ek product ki tarah bazaar me rakhne me yashraj films ne bahut mehnat kiya hai aur safalta bhi payee hai aur yeh bahut achchi baat hai.YRF jab chchoti filmo ko bhi promote karta hai to film ko content se jyada marketing POV se hi dekhta hai,Vinod Pandey ki Shiney Ahuja starring film SINS ko finance aur distribute karne ke pichche unki desire kisi se chchupi nahi hai,but sadly apne calculation aur matmatics me unko desi janta par hi depend hona padta hai…aur public sab jaanti hai,hope for the best.show must go on…

mera sawal yahi hai ki pahle ke big banners passionately kuch behtar aur naya karte the.unhe bhi munafa hota tha,lekin kewal munafe ko woh dhyan mein nahi rakhte the.main ashutosh se ummeed karta hoon.jhaji ne sahi kaha ki yashraj ne films ko sabun ki tarah product bana diya.films ka assembly line production nahi hona chahiye.

Hamara to new year resolution hai “no to yashraj films”. Kisi dost ke thru free me pirated dvd mile tabhi shayad dekhne ki baat sochon. warna mere jeb se ab ek paisa bhi YRF ke khate me nahi jayega. they need to learn a lesson now!!

‘tararumpum’ aur iske jaise doosare filmo ka yahi hashra hona tay hai….jo film aam admi ke bhavnaao par kendrit nahi hogi ab nahi chalegi….audience ab murk banne se rahi…use ab kuchh sahitya bhi chahiye…

Jhoom Barabar Jhoom ke promos bhi ab tak koi khaas ehsaas nahi dilata hai.

Yashraj has become a designer boutique store for films. I greatly admire Yash Chopra for whatever he has achived in the film industry and also his son Aditya Chopra for making YRF the biggest film brand in the country.
But no one knows the formula for a hit, whether it is YRF, Bhagwan Das or Ekta Kapoor. If any one claims they have it, they are living in a fools paradise.
Aditya Chopra has made one of the biggest hits of Indian Cinema that changed the fate of Yashraj. After that he burnt his fingers with Mohabbattein and never had the courage to directly direct films ever since. With the gun on someone else’s shoulder, he has been shooting ever since.
They thought they discovered the formula with Bunty aur Babli, Dhoom etc etc but inspite of constant reminders like Neal N Nikki, Tara rum pum, they still have not realized that film making is not a BUSINESS. Jhoom Barabar Jhoom is one more packaged product that is on the way. I am sure it will have the usual sugary romance, colorful songs and some senseless comedy.
Make hay while the sun shines….
I would have had tremendous respect for Yashraj if they had encouraged good scripts along with their usual commercial fares.
How much money does their block busters fetch them? Hundreds of crores? Can’t such a big company spare 3 crores for a great subject with new film makers every year?
What do they lose if they make three such small budget but encouraging movies every year? absolutely nothing but the amount of respect they will gain will be priceless.
Another factor is the actors. Yashraj today has a superstar bank. Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, Saif Ali Khan, you name it and they have them.
As soon as an actor delivers a hit, Yashraj immediately signs him on and makes them part of their bank.
But don’t these senseless actors realize that Yashraj would have never given them their first break? Yashraj does not create stars, it just buys them off. So the real directors and producers, who put their career and money at risk introducing new talent are left sidelined.
Kunal Kapoor would never have been allowed into Yashraj offices before Rang De Basanti…today he is one of their favorite stars.
Why can’t actors encourage film makers who really took risks with them? I really admire Salman Khan for resisting the tempations of these big banners and sticking with people who stuck by him when he needed them! He is the real hero in India.
Yashraj may be the biggest banner in the industry today, but they don’t have the balls to create stars. Whether it was Shahrukh, Saif or Kunal, they became stars and then Yashraj grabbed them.
