Trash. The ad-man has been successful in promoting the magic of underwater cinematography but there is much more to a movie. Had it not been the music of Rehman, this movie would have been unbearable. All that glitters is not gold.
this worst movie i have seen in my life just go and watch one hollywood movie it,s all over for blue .
do not watch film and waste money instead u should give this money 2 some e.n.g.o
Titanic FAIL!!!
Its what I call an ” eyecandy ” movie.Visually stunning but nothing else otherwise.Of course music of ARR rocks, surprisingly Yaar Mila Tha Saiyya isnt there in the movie.Must be the easiest and dumbest treasure hunt ever in the world.
OMG, it was a harrowing experience to say the least, i got petrified with so much crap. Such movies can be scary, coz only ghosts can treat mortals with such callousness and disregard. We have brilliant minds in the country who could have helped Ashtvinayak to invest 100 crores in a good investment plan and they cud have earned some nice moolah out of it. But folks if u ever wanted to witness cinematic travesty , do watch the shootout scene between sanjay dutt and Rahul Dev, it reminded me of BR Chopra’s Doordarshan Trash “aankhen”, HAM HAM HAM HAM!!!!!
Finally skepticism gave way to curiosity & saw it 2day..& yes the history was repeated again…I felt exactly the same way I felt after Dhoom 2 & Tasveer…Moreover, the climax has an eerie resemblance with the climax of Tasveer 8X10…both are set on a boat (or yacht whatever it is)…& both offer mindboggling “revelations”…
But everything else apart…I want to ask one question…why do all Bollywood action films take so much time 2 get 2 the point?…It was promoted as a nonstop action adventure joyride…but in fact in the entire 1st half there is no action at all…all you get to see is 3 or 4 songs, some senti about friendship & brotherly love, Bikinis (the only good thing about it) & a bike race which is definitely ripped off from torque, F&F & ilk…
The makers need not do anything pathbreaking, but they should show at least what they promise…Bond films work because they don’t even give time to think how silly they are…how disappointing it is to see AK not getting to kick anyone in an action movie?…
It gave me blues, i guess producers will be in red
Hey Cinemausher
Very True. And what bout the financers? Aur TV parr iske reviews mein “Block Buster” bata deinge. I guess its a “Block Buster” in d category of “Flops”
From the onset one knows that someone else is holding the strings. Who that person is – a few minutes into the movie and the secret is out, though it is revealed in the end. The only people surprised were probably the characters. Though they, too, were unable to show their shock. It was more like, ‘Oh, ok, so he is the one’.
What i learnt from Blue
* Sharks will swim without causing any harm, even if blood is spilled in the water. Must be some kind of veggie sharks, would love to know where they do exist, so that i can go for scuba diving there.
* Hindi is spoken widely in Bahamas, you can make a May Day call in perfect Hindi also.
* You can remember where a treasure is lying, even after 60 yrs, the moment you know your brother is in trouble.
* Sanjay Dutt the actor, seems to be MIA, Lage Raho Munnabhai seems like another age. Add to it a sleepy, disinterested appearance. Kya hua Raghubhai, even in some of your worst 90’s movies, you were never like this?
* CC2C, Tasveer 8×10, Kambhakt Ishq and now Blue. Akki, we don’t expect your movies to be masterpieces or classics, but at least they were entertaining, sadly, that also seems missing nowadays. Please remember not even AB, could save Toofan, Jaadugar, Ganga Jamuna Saraswati, Mrityudaata.
* Zayed Khan claimed in an interview he never took his career seriously. Thanks for small mercies, and we hope he never takes it seriously either.
The 2 star rating is only for the underwater photography and some of the action scenes.
On the rest of the parameters- performances, script the movie is a big thumbs down.
Nice points, Ratnakar. Now I’m really curious to watch it.
“Zayed Khan claimed in an interview he never took his career seriously. Thanks for small mercies”
BTW, I initially misread your last line as “The 2 star rating is only for the underwear photography”
Kenny consider the “stars” keep showing off their “beautiful toned bodies” more than any acting, you are right.
BTW there is a nice upskirt shot if you care.
oooo…ab to dvd pe dekhni padegi ;)
Sanjay Dutt, the actor, was busy with “All The Best” ;-)
Personally, I think the quality of Hindi movies are degrading day by day and BLUE gives us a glimpse (may be more) regarding this. Lara Dutta and Katrina Kaif are used only as “clothes hanger”. Lara must have created a fuss for god-knows-what reason that the director gave her almost nothing to wear. Sanju baba has done great work in his career but this shows his poor choice in selecting films and exercise program. He has to change both.Akshay-the only thing one can is great body!Zayed has yet to establish his name in the industry but with movies like this – he might become another “Aftab”.
All in all, the movie is best avoided, even if you are desperate to watch a movie. BLUE gives you the blues in the worst way possible. If you are really into girls with skimpy clothes (who isn’t?) and beach photography, you may think of “renting a DVD”.Going to theatre for BLUE is equivalent to throwing money down the drain!
its all over now, baby blue
Pathetic stuff – Everyone associated with this movie should be ashamed, except Lara who managed to look hot, and Kylie, who’s a stunner.
Juvenile dialogues, stupid climax, lack of coherent storyline, strictly ok music, indifferent acting, all of these makes Blue an avoidable fare.
ha ha ha ha

Not bad, infact a revolutionary step in the field of cinematography… TO sum up go if the ticket costs 20 or 25 rs. or if sm1 is gvng for free….
supercool film, what happened to mindless fun.
a perfect blend of stupid script & nonsense suspence…. i cud remember just one scene that will not haunt me later in my life… when sanjay dutt was attacked at his home…lekin wo bhi kahin se mara hoga!…pure dissapointment!
Such a DAMP SQUIB !!! There should be a rule against letting the likes of Zayed Khan loose on poor, unsuspecting folks recovering from a recession.
Pl add an option to rate “0″ star. Didn’t want to give “1″… but there was no option.
Blue Film…. in true sense… not meant for sane people
