Bura na mano holi hai

Bura na mano holi hai .. holi hai bhai holi hai .. Bura na maano holi hai

The aforementioned used to be our (i.e me and my aawara delhi lodi colony waalas’) slogan during holi, while under this pretext we would apply colour to all the females of the locality who normally wouldn’t even bother to acknowledge us as human beings let alone Dudes/Guys/date-able etc etc ..

So we always used to do ghost-dating (HELLO !!! IF Ghost direction and Kamal Hassan can exist, why not GHOST DATING ??)

Why am i reminded of the same after reading this (and I must confess, after drinking two big glasses of BHAANG)???

“So what really went wrong between Aamir and Robert? “Why Robert is no longer part of the film, I would not know the back-story,” says Abhinay. He has just started casting for the film, which has been written by Los Angeles-based Akshat Verma. The buzz is that Akshat was keen on directing his script but Aamir was not very impressed with the idea. Our source reveals, “Such things happen in Aamir Khan Productions and Abhinay will now direct Delhi Belly.”

Here’s the article
The miserable pun on Holi (the FTII film in which the LEGEND OF INDIAN CINEMA Aamir khan acted along with the “creative director” of Taare Zameen Par - Amole Gupte) seems so appropriate.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0087417/

Almost as if like us(i.e goons like us, ref read first para) Aamir khan is doing perhaps what he had did to Amole Gupte …. this time the “creative director” happens to be Akshat Verma …

Not that we felt bad after applying colours to girls zabardasti.. It was never an issue of sensitivity for us. It was after all Holi ..and we had noble intentions of believing that other people playing holi would NOT BE ABLE TO DO JUSTICE TO THE girls if they applied colour to them. So we did what was honorable …i.e apply colour to the girls forcibly….

By the way this logic is in not intended to be similar to what honorable Mr Aamir Khan used to direct Taare Zameen Par… And any similarity is completely co-incidental…

Oh and also by the way, just a cursory imdb/google on Akshat Verma leads us to these pages -
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm2356415/
http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1809822720/cast

but the imdb pages and the yahoo pages are not enough.. so we have another mention of him in an article by the usual “anurag kashyap rants” (as quoted by honorable journalist Mr Subhash K Jha) here ….
http://passionforcinema.com/life-is-unfair-get-used-to-it/

So let me get this straight… one honorable actor-director thinks he will be able to do more justice to the script written by Akshat Verma.. So he gives him a chance (that’s completely honorable). But akshat “screws up”. So then the project is perhaps passed over to the swedish director. But he too is perhaps incapable. And so the baton has been passed onto someone else… eventually to perhaps Mr Aamir Khan himself.

Just like I used to tell the girls, “I didn’t apply colour to you properly, so my friend #1 will apply to you more properly”, and then Friend #2 since Friend #1 didn’t do JUSTICE TO THE job, and then Friend #3 and so on and so forth…eventually all the ruffian gang members in a very Ghulam-ish manner have taken their turns at doing the honorable deed (of not exactly racing with the Sanpada Local Train taking turns like Aamir first and then Deepak Tijori…. But applying colours to the girls one after the other)

As Mark Antony said in Julius Ceaser
“When that the poor have cried, Caesar hath wept:
Ambition should be made of sterner stuff:
Yet Brutus says he was ambitious;
And Brutus is an honourable man. “

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Friends%2C_Romans%2C_countrymen%2C_lend_me_your_ears

So all the girls beware, we are being honorable when we forcibly apply colour to you. Because your family members..your mom, your dad, your cousin sisters, your female friends and the ilk MAY NOT BE ABLE TO DO JUSTICE TO APPLYING-COLOUR-TO-YOU …and hence we will.

AND YES ..we are coming !!!
AND YES … we are honorable men .. just like Brutus…

P.S - this is not intended to be a sexist/chauvanist post.. apologies if it sounds like one…

If Aamir wanted to direct it himself, he could easily have done it when he got the script. It’s not like anyone’s stopping him, or is likely to after TZP.
