Call For Oscar Entries For Short Film!!
Ok Folks,
Now is the time to take action. Below is the call for entries for Short Films. Filmmakers from across the globe and also SOuth Asian Indian, South Asian American, South Asian Canadian, South Asian British, etc amongst other filmmakers, stop cribbing about Ek Lavya (of course it is a piece of crap) and take some action here. Go to your respective film federations (including Pande ji of Film Federation of India), with your short films (and go before Monday, Oct 1) and tell them to submit your film. Like I said, I don’t like crybabies and self pitying folks, I do like people who take action and go for it…all the time, everytime….so here is your moment. Thanks Oz for lettimg me break protocol here. This post is worth it……This just came into my inbox and hence act ASAP

Great… announcing the India’s entry to the Oscars just one week before the deadline…
Now can the filmmakers who wanna represent their movies for the Oscars make it?
Actually you’re right….never thought of it that way…well now I have a condo in Sherman Oaks so am going to make plenty of NOISE (as you’ll are aware I can…) AGAINST EKLAVYA (don’t get me wrong nothing will get me more satisfaction than seeing a desi film wim, just the right film and the one we as a population vote for) not based on some sorry event called Spendor of India, where 39 people showed up and MC Kabir Bedi had to WALK to his hotel …I can confidently say Ek Lavya was a very political decision which occurred last month in LA…don’t ask me more…ask me in private
whos making oscar worthy shorts in india? maybe the expat indian who needs to show a rajasthani man with a red turban and cow dung cakes and silver trinkets.
Madhur,
Um, not quite sure what to make of your comment.
Stick around and keep reading PFC, you will see that among our readers and writers there are world-class shorts being made, as well as many that have been seen and mentioned in previous posts…
What is the acceptable format for a short film? I mean does a film shot with a DV camera or a mini HD qualify?
