The Indian Film Festival of Los Angeles (IFFLA) is accepting submissions for the inaugural IFFLA Development Fund, the first phase of the IFFLA Film Fund. The IFFLA Development Fund program will award a $10,000 grant to an emerging filmmaker to develop an original feature-length screenplay that centers on India or the Indian Diaspora. Screenplays by Indian filmmakers that have non-Indian themes will also be considered.
A jury of industry professionals will select the winner of the $10,000 grant who will also receive feedback from the Fund’s panel as well as filmmaking software from industry leaders including Final Draft. IFFLA has been integral in furthering the careers of many filmmakers. With the Development Fund, IFFLA is now happy to extend support to emerging filmmakers in need of financial support as they embark on their first or second project.
