Casino Royale - Passes the Test
Thanks to VC for the tip and links. The first of Casino Royale’s reviews are in. Daniel Craig as the first blond haired James Bond. Many were apprehensive. In fact there was this huge anti-Daniel Craig campaign that was started to push the producers to replace Craig as the new Bond.
The producers stuck to their guns and it seems that their decision is right on the mark.
Times UK calls the new Bond flick as the most voilent of all in the Bond series. And yes it gives the new Bond actor a pat on the back. According to the paper, Daniel Craig comes out with “flying colors”. The further commends the movie for its filled with “rich little insights” and concludes that it is surprise surprise… riveting!

The Telegraph doesn’t hold back on its praises either. According to the paper, “there were no doubts Craig… possesses the hard-man credentials which might make him many millions more fans.”
The Telegraph further quotes another critic : “It’s terrific!”
The Daily Mail screams with headlines in favor of the new 007… “We’re stirred, Mr. Bond”
Though the paper points to a couple of drawbacks it concludes that “None of the previous Bonds could have carried this [scenes] with the same depth or sincerity… But the big strength of the film is that it takes us further inside Bond’s head than ever.”
The Mirror calls it dark and gritty, further spiking your interest by writing “The year’s most eagerly anticipated film does not disappoint. You’ll be shaken. You’ll be stirred. Heck, you’ll be blown away.”
Even the hard to please Sun is showering praises “Daniel Craig is the best Bond since Connery… Craig’s performance is so strong he could even make moviegoers forget there was anyone between himself and Connery.”
But The Guardian | Observer is the only one that stands on the other side… it doesn’t seem to have many nice words to say… “The problem with making Bond more real, is that everything around him then seems even more fake than usual.”
There wasn’t much interest to see Bond, but with all those reviews above… HELL!!! I’m seeing it… first day first show… :d

oz, you are a cracker at first hand reviews!
James Blonde! A granary of salt!
this guy doesnt look suave enough to carry off a james bond …
Will have to see the movie and decide
Name is Bond - James Bond
only difference - I have become blond
I had expected this to happen. Daniel Craig fits the ‘angry young bond’ to the T. And he was amazing in Munich, a master at underplay. But Bond is a different ballgame, he can even redefine the genre and add in a couple of attributes more to the suave Bond.
Its refreshing to see a simpler plot with unapologetic action(from what is reported) instead of incessant ultra-sophisticated bio weapons n global wars in the Bond films seen lately. That is one reason why I like MI3 also-The focus at what they do best.
Daniel Craig got such a big opportunity to prove what he is worth, and he wouldnt have left any stone unturned to make it big. No wonder the unanticipated responses are coming from everywhere.
Eagerly waitin to see it!
Can some one confirm when does it release in India…
It releases on Nov.17th. Next Friday…
