Chadke Bothan Chirpichikad

“Chadke Bothan Chirpichikad… Chadke Bothan Chirpichikad….. dhanepe poti tana puskai… dhanepe poti tana puskai…. chirkitanakankarmuskai….. chirkitanakankarmuskai…. sabchalegay….. sabchalegay… chitngod…. chitingod…. cheriboskai…. chetiboskai….. kai….. kai… kai….”

These specific words rang very vividly when I was in school and the hottest teacher in school asked me a question in the middle of a class when I was busy doing things in the last bench what one adolescent/teenager on a journey to self exploration does and I did not know what the whatever it meant but if she had asked what “chirkitanakankarmuskai” meant I might just have come up with something. What makes the moment and the song very special cause…even as in the song and at school I had a few friends who would try and help me out and whisper the answer…I had no clue as to what they were saying but I had to lip sync it as they whispered the answer and get out of the mess I would invariably in…..turning my head towards the voices to catch the sounds and try and make sense of the syllables and pass it on in my own voice to the hot teacher and save my ass….actually I would have loved the spanking….shit why the hell did I go thru all that pain to give out the answer. The true voyeur in me maybe took time to develop….[OH!!!! fuck it’s getting on to me…… I am reading some super mind fuck stuff of late…. …]

Whenever I revisit those times I would always reconfirm the role of Bhola….aka. Sunil Dutt caught in between the battle of 2 geniuses…3 actually [Mehmood, Kishore Kumar and Manna Dey] which started off actually help Bhola…but as the song progress the egos of the singers take a lead and they engage in their own battle leaving Bhola to desperately latch on ….and he does a brilliant job of it….I have always maintained that Sunil Dutt was the most underrated performer in the song as well as in the movie.

Seldom I have found a movie which puts a bunch of losers to battle it out together….Typically if a story has a dumb/loser hero then his counterpart whom he has to defeat and get the girl will be suave, cunning, win the girl’s attention, and even have the girl briefly fall for him….everything will be going his way till the climax….this is when the director makes us believe that there is a place for dumb shit like me….and you can have the “mall” [bimbo/bombshell of a girl and not a place where you go to enjoy an escalator ride and read tags hung on goods for sale and faint] in the end…..kiss my brown ass director….am not buying that shit no more…..[Cynical…hmm….Vasan much like that guy in the book...I see whats happening.]

Ok yet again Bollywood got the “Madrasi” act totally wrong. He is called a Pillai and smears his forehead with ash. Does too much of an Iyyo rama….but what the heck…even the die hard ready to drowse himself with kerosene at a public rally to appease his party leader [Amma/Appa/Tatha/Anna/Tambhi/Thalaivar/Periyavar – Mom/Dad/Grandpa/Elder Brother/Younger Brother/Leader/Wise Old Man] kind of supporter of the Dravidian movement will laugh his gut out at what Mehmood did with his Pillai act. [Politics…..how can I co-relate politics to Padosan…stop reading that dark shit Vasan]

The song starts with a carnatic aalap…..The girl know no shit of what it is….but hell she is the “MALL” [ref above Para 4] and you do whatever to appease her…..and when a “Kalya Madrasi” [fuck me racist and that too against my own!!!!!!!…I should stop reading what I am reading…..]…..ok I’ll skip this….Pillai is smitten…he does everything he is told by this lady is a blue sari….and when a female like her who enjoys or rather shows her appreciation by moving her amply stocked torso than just a subtle swing of a head to music…..which usually is…..who the hell in his good healthy sense can say no…

Pillai is in great flow….sur and taal in place and with the acknowledgement……heaven…until all hell breaks loose……areeee dham….aree dham….ummm…aaahhha…eeee heee uuooo…uoo….hmmmmmm namanamanamanamanama….bala bala bala bl reeee…balabalabalare……..

Pillai loose his hard on….sorry hold on the proceedings…..the lady is the blue too is shell shocked…she looks awesome…whatever the mood….she breaths heavily and tries to look menacing to showcase her anger…..but I see love….thats what Bhola says…I second that……[The Lady in the Blue Dress the Blue Dahlia….????? This is Padosan….a clean film…..fun film…not that dark noir stuff…..]

Looking at the lady in distress Pillai gets up to avenge…..chutti kar doonga main usakiiiiii……he does an absolutely stunning Bharatnatyam move which shakes the Bhola camp…and with a diabolic move to distract them further Pillai exposes his unshaven dark legs to them thru his vigorous moves….[racist…racist…racist…and pervert....Vasan madar#%^$.....]…..Bhola is scared shit of the sight….which can potentially mar his view of life and it’s nicer things and turn him into some kind of a maniac….on a killing spree….[I should stop reading that stuff I am reading….I am psychoanalyzing Bhola reactions to the gory things he is subjected to…..and trying to get to know the psyche of a serial killers better…..shit….burn that book…..]

But Guruji breaks the serial killing inspiring trance with his chants….. “Chadke Bothan Chirpichikad… Chadke Bothan Chirpichikad….. dhanepe poti tana puskai… dhanepe poti tana puskai….chirkitanakankarmuskai….. chirkitanakankarmuskai….sabchalegay…..sabchalegay…chitngod….chitingod….cheriboskai….chetiboskai…..kai…..kai…kai….”

Pillai and the lady in Blue with her heaves and body shakes do try to come back….but after the Chirpichikad….they could not…the spell was cast….they were Mind Fucked……and plus with racist comments like kale…and nale mein jake tu muh dhoke aa re…….Pillai was not the man he was….he was devastated…..still he tries to break out of the spell cast with a spirited naach na jane aangan angan teda…and follows the cult ritual followed deep in Amazon by swing and sliding and rotating like a chopper blade on the bed knocking all things of it…..even the lady in Blue is stunned…she freezes for a moment….no heaves…no shakes…sigh!!!…..from then on it boils down to the battle of the chaturnar and the fittest horse…..aaaiyo Ghode teri….[Horse…..the symbol of sexual powers….horsepower…he can HUMP her like a Horse…..what were they trying to say?????? Book KO JALADE VASAN……..]

No more….no more…no more…………ok Bhola wins and Pillai looses….end of the story
