Confessions Of a Filmmaker: Music Release

This post is sponsored by

GALA EVENT: Music Release of Confessions of a Filmmaker

Where: Passionforcinema.com

When: Right Now

Invitees: Viewers of Passionforcinema.com

Speakers: YOU!!!!!!

Just got off phone with Anish Kuruvilla and boy o boy does he have plans or does he have plans? Currently i am bound with a verbal contract not to reveal anything as of now…but, rest assured that something big is on the way. Though this post is not about the big plan concerning Anish and Confessions of a Filmmaker, i promise i will be giving away subtle hints on them, you can read between the lines, eh?

Anish has decided for the music release of one of the most controversial movies, one of the most talked about movies, one of the most loved-hated movies : Confessions Of a Filmmaker. And guess what, it will be done exclusive on …ahem you guessed it right… Passionforcinema.com. The music is composed by a Hyderabad based band called Exabyssus

This is very positive news coming from the stables of Anish who has been bruised and battered by all and sundry inside and outside of industry. Anish has decided to release the movie come what may….but, how, when, where, have to wait for just a little bit longer. I am so dying to let the cat out of the box, but, damn i cant….too excited to share, but, you have to wait just a little bit longer. What i can tell though is that the movie will be watched by ” YOU” the way Anish made it….no filtrations ;) Working on a few technical and logistical issues to make a “Public Statement”. Patience. Respect!!!!

So, all you all peeps for now enjoy the music by Exabyssus given for Confessions of a Filmmaker, because as of now you will not find this music in the market and Anish was graceful to let you listen to this for FREE.

Please drop in a line or two to let him know what you think about the music and support him in the release of this much-awaited phillum.

Will rip the fuck of this movie If it is not what I expected.

eagerly waiting for it to be released.
      will it be on PFC?

    2. anish kuruvilla on May 31st, 2007 12:46 pm

jesus! taxy driver, your’e scaring me :) , but fair enough.
hey why dont you tell me what you expect from the film? maybe I can help setting some expectations.

    3. ShawshankRedemption on May 31st, 2007 1:02 pm

I would love if its like Bollywood Calling with realism and true facts of the film industry. Basically hard hitting…

    4. OM on May 31st, 2007 1:04 pm

@ Taxy and Shawshak….Did you like the music? Any opinion guys?

    5. taxydriver on May 31st, 2007 1:12 pm

I just want to be entertained.
Love angry movies, but at the same time I dont want polemics and lectures.

havent seen ‘angry’ movies in a long time.
Z,battle of Algiers, paradise now, malcolm X, boyz and the hood, city of god…come to think of it there are very few ‘angry’ movies..
may be all woody allen movies are all thinly veiled attacks.

      surprise me!

    6. anish kuruvilla on May 31st, 2007 1:16 pm

Hey Shawshank, its nothing like bollywood calling.infact there’s no comedy at all. well there is,but its bitter humour.

      its a serious film,shot in a cinema verite/guerilla style,hmm…a very dark film.
its hard to put down in words…i dunno, you’ll see for yourself.
or maybe thats a load of crap I’m saying….
      you might think otherwise.

you can read reviews from the press on my site, confessionsofafilmmaker.com. only a media screening has happened so far. you can also watch the trailers, coming soon on PFC, or watch a compressed version on www.youtube.com/anishtube.

      anish.

    7. anish kuruvilla on May 31st, 2007 1:19 pm

      hey taxy driver

its one hell of an angry movie dude. rest assured,
it will get your blood rushing.
      side splitting,gut wrenching…..

      its angry alright, guaranteed.

      anish

The first track didn’t quite sit too well with me. Need to hear in the context of the film to be able to appreciate it. The riffs are energetic but the vocalist seems a little too…ambitious.

The 2nd track is quite wonderful. Fresh, and the lyrics are pretty interesting too. The snapping along with the harmonica give it a very grounded, southern country charm. Very impressive.

    9. taxydriver on May 31st, 2007 1:26 pm

      Track 1 is OK..(metallica inspired?)
      Track 2 is good.

what the fuck with the american accent?
didnt understand the lyrics.can u post them here.

      6/10.Not bad.

    10. OM on May 31st, 2007 1:31 pm

@ Taxy…a review of the music coming soon, including the lyrics.

    11. kartik krishnan on May 31st, 2007 9:43 pm

anish – loved the trailers… yeah guriella shooting.

Sincere request – whenever it is released online/theatrically, pls make it subtitled. (if you have already not done that)

    12. anish kuruvilla on May 31st, 2007 10:25 pm

the film is subtitled ofcourse…but…well you’ll see for yourself.

    13. kartik krishnan on May 31st, 2007 11:42 pm

      cant wait :-)

    14. jai on June 1st, 2007 10:33 am

i liked both of the songs until the point where everyone has gone mad…plz. don’t take it otherwise, i have very poor knowledge about music and never risked my ear to heavy metal(by this what I really think is anger, frustration, passion anything expressed loudly in an un-apologetic way, in your face kind, like the film)..so sorry, my comments doesn’t matter on this…
but i loved the lyrics..don’t know who, but i guess anish must have written them..he gives a graceful exit to his thoughts using wonderfully written lines…:)>-

waiting for ‘YOU’ 2 release the uncut film…aLl thE beSt:d/

The music originates from the genre known as Metaal(Progressive). :-\”
Influenced by bands like Maiden, DT, Queensryche, Skid Row… ((But NOT METALLICA… I Pormise))[-(
It does have the attributes of an angry, power crunch, riff shredding song… :d/ with loads of tempo changes and alterations with the time signatures… hence “progressive”.:-?
Not sure what the exact lyrics say… The vocalist wrote the lyrics… :) >-
There’s alot that went into the song… but most of it is better left unsaid… ;)
Hey Anish… Thanks man, I’m proud to be part of this movie.:)

    17. Vocalist on June 4th, 2007 1:13 am

er…yeah man me the ambitious one…grr .n dunno but dats the height of wannabeism im in..in ref to the accent will loose it soon. both tracks were left raw for a reason…to go with the movie’s idea as well.. anywyas…hope u liked it..tyvm.

      oh dear where am i..
never heard of this movie.. and i dont even know who is anish..
but the title name is catchy.. but i hope its not too dark..
with this title i guess this is a movie about a yung director starting off ..and how he belive in himself..even when nobody is with himm..just a guess

or it could be about the dark side indian cinema like pg -3

hmmm. or a very creative one.. like daily sequences or incidents happened with director .. and as he is watching the real scences.. his mind is making mental notes.. and how it will come in forthcoming movie…mental notes in that sepia shades maybe…

anyways ..i will luv to see wat will be d final outcome of a lovely and intresting title

      luv & luck
