Everytime ‘Jai Ho’ hindi soundtrack played (and I kept rewinding and seeing) for every award the movie got, it was a proud moment! I ‘literally’ stood up and bowed to the maestro! He really has put Indian music on the global map.
In a recent interview, ARR said, he always tries to find interesting projects to keep his ‘drive’ alive, so recently he even music-directed for a chinese movie!
This recognition, sure will bring a lot more international projects for him, and I wish to see him at the International award ceremonies often!

I belive Rahman has been giving great music for a long time. But his association with this incredible movie made the world notice his music and appreciate it.
OZ it is A.R.Rahman and not A.R.Rehman. Otherwise another presenter might think it should be Lehmann.

I am a big fan of A.R. Rehman and it was a delight to see him recieving the award on the foreign land. Although I like his music in the film, I feel he has given much better scores for films like Bombay, Dil se.., Roja…and many others in south as well as hindi films. Its time the world recognized an Indian genius!
Hope he gets many more such honors!!
I dont want ARR to waste his time in Indian movies (except mani ratnam), he should work with good directors in hollywood and europe.
