Dadasaheb Phalke Award to Manna Dey

The 2007 Dadasaheb Phalke Award goes to Manna Dey, the man who gave us immortal gems and continues singing even though he is 90. He will be given the award by the President of India during the 55th National Award presentation ceremony on 21st October. Dey’s name was recommended by a committee comprising Dr A Nageshwara Rao, Yash Chopra, Vijaya Mulay and Ustad Amjad Ali Khan.
