Destination : Theater!

A theater is a connect, an intermediary between the cine-maniac and the cinema. It’s a channel through which one achieves the cinema-orgasm. I put forward an account as to how and what a person goes through when he sets out on a journey to a theater and accomplishes it after successfully coming out of those narrow spaces between the seats once the movie is over!

Everybody in this world comes with a baggage. Even I go there on a bike, a car, an auto, a walk down the lane. It depends. That’s my baggage.
Now that you have come with your baggage. You need to pay a price for it.
10 bucks, 8 bucks. Again, it depends. You then get a yellow slip or even pink. Depends.
It’s a proof, an evidence that your baggage is with us till you are inside but it doesn’t mean that it’s safe. Depends.
It’s called PARKING.
But everything has an exception. Sometimes you don’t have to pay a price for your baggage. It’s free (Some Multiplexes don’t charge you for parking) BUT then the price for other luxuries inside is so high, you wonder what difference it would have been to pay a price for that baggage too. Popcorn, Samosa, Diet Coke, Coffee etc, its expensive inside, you know.
OK.
I am a Commerce student. There’s an open market and an IPO (Initial Public Offer)
Now if you want to buy shares of a new company which you think will give you plenteous returns, then you have to rush and get the IPO. But if you are late – you go to Open market. There, you have to pay a price to a person who was more intelligent and fast than you were and only time will tell how plenteous the returns would be.
Same. Ditto. Bingo. Over here.
Big film. Big starcast. You want to watch it FDFS (First Day First Show)
Go. Run. Aim for the IPO
But if Late – Open market
IPO is box office. Ticket window. Stand in a line. Queue. Pay. Ladies have some privilege.
Open market is DUS ka BEES (10 is 20). TEES ka SAATH (30 is 60)

Case I Both are legal (IPO AND OPEN MARKET) and both exist.
Case II Over here too. Both exist but only one being legal.
And how plenteous was the return, as said time will tell.
Over here – picture khatam hone K baad hee (after the movie gets over)
For me both of them are worth it. Let’s say we were lucky today, got the IPO.
Now you have the gate pass. The TICKETS. The keys of the magical lock.
OH!! Now you enter the temple, the mosque, the church. Really I mean it. THE THEATER.

The agarbatti (incense sticks) substitutes to the cigarette sticks.
The chants are people talking, waiting for the show to begin
The diversity. The unity. No temple, no church, no mosque can bring together so diverse people together as a theater would do.
Is there any place on planet earth where all the religions come together and not even bothered or concerned about the person seated next to them? In fact new relationships are formed.
Personally, I have made friends at theaters. No discrimination. Be it – Age, Religion or Gender. Well sometimes it does for the ladies.
Spare a thought about it. Theaters are more holier than temps and mosques and churches
People waiting for the show to begin. They all are expecting. They have made an investment. Let’s see how it fares.
But if you still have some time for the show to begin. There are many options to utilize that time:
1 Toilet (He/She)
2 Eat
3 Smoke
4 Call (him/her so that she/he doesn’t bother you again)
5 Forth coming attractions (Have a look)
Make the best use of all the time you have. Time is petrol. Its volatile, expensive and scarce.
I am single, I go for the 1st and 2nd because both are important and if you are done with those, no disturbance ahead.
TRINNNNN !
Time for the show to begin. Time for the rains. Time to get lost in a dream.
Time to be your own self. Time to get the three E’s
Entertainment- Education- Enlightenment
The show is running. The enlightenment is taking place. Education is being fed. You’re getting entertained.
Loot. Initiate and do whatever it takes to get the maximum out of that opportunity.
Remember the rule- one can learn from every film that is made.

Oh! its Intermission, trinnnnnnnnnnnn….. popcorn….loooooooooooo…..if me…. Revise the first half…

Its going to get more engrossing. You are going to graduate very soon. Every film is a learning experience.

Oh! it’s the climax. oh! is he? the murderer. Oh! does he get the girl? Oh! he dies. Oh! they all live happily ever after.

Carefully walk through those narrow lanes. I mean the seats but keep the thought running. Why was this film made? What can I learn? till you collect your baggage (AP 07Q 4094 – my bike)
On the way to home.
Home. Tomorrow is gonna be a new day. Let’s start all over again
And here comes FRIDAY !!
