dharmendra…unsung hero

Nafisa Ali METRO film mein mumbai ke ek local station par khadi hain.unka dashkon purana aashiq unse milne aa raha hai.ek train samne se gujarti hai aur ham sane plateform par DHARMENDRA ko dekhte hain.saath saal ka woh aashiq bedhadak railway line cross karta hai aur aakar apni bichudi premika se milta hai.is scene aur METRO mein kaam ki tarif karne 72 saal ke DHARMENDRA ki aankhe chamkane lagti hain.chehre par phaili jhurriyon mein umang ki lahren dikhne lagti hain.unki khushi chalak jati hai.woh masoom bachche ki tarah poochte hain, aapne dekhi hai film?kaisa laga mera kaam?khrab to nahi laga na?lagta hai na woh aadmi railway line cross kar sakta hai.70 ki umra mein bhi lagta hai ki aashiq hai.DHARMENDRA filmon se apni aashiqui ki yaadon mein kho jaate hain.
1958 mein panjab ka ek jat naujawan aankhon mein actor banne ke sapne lekar filmfare talent contest mein hissa lene mumbai aaya aur phir mumbai ka hi hokar rah gaya.naam, shoharat aur paisa sa kuch hasil kiya DHARMENDRA ne.1961 mein DIL BHI TERA HAM BHI TERE film mein unhe pahla mauka mila.abhi tak woh 240 se adhik filmon mein kaam kar chuke hain.in filmon DHARMENDRA ne har kism ke role kiye.unki har chavi darshkon ko achchhi lagi.aashchrya hai ki bahumukhi pratibha ke dhani is actor adhik puraskaar aur samman nahi mile.film historian aur writers bhi unke yogdaan ke prati khamosh hain.gaur karen to hindi filmon mein kisi aur actor ne aisi variety nahi di.
beshak pichlee sadi ke antim dashak mein unhone kuch kharab filmen ki aur badnam bhi hue, lekin unki do-tihai filmen achchhi hain.
har tarah ki saflta ke bawjood DHARMENDRA un do hastiyon ko aaj tak nahi bhool paye hain, jinhone pahle hi saal main unke kandhe par bharose ka haath rakha tha aur kaha tha ki woh ek din zaroor mashhoor honge.aaj bhi DHARMENDRA DILIP KUMAR aur DEV ANAND se apni pahli mulaqat ka jikra karna nahi bhoolte.unke baare mein batate hue woh kilkariyan lene lagte hain aur unke hothon par mushkarahat tairne lagti hai.APNE ke music release ke samay unhone khas aagrah se dono senior actor ko bulaya tha.unki maujoodgi mein DHARMENDRA ke ullas ka bakhan shabdon mein nahi kiya ja sakta.shayad woh hindi film industry ki un vibhootiyon ko dhanyawad de rahe the, jinhone sangharsh ki ghani dhoop mein aate hi unhe pyaar ki chaon di thi.
BOBBY DEOL apne pita ke is utsah aur ullas ko samjah nahi pa rahe the.unhone bataya ki papa media ke har sawal ka jawab vistaar se dete hain.kisi bhi sawal par chup nahi rahte.ab BOOBY ko kaun bataye ki aise hi jawabon se actor ka audience se aatmiya rishta banta hai.aaj ke actors is taraf dhyan nahi dete.
in dino DHARMENDRA kavitaayen likh rahe hain .shayari kar rahe hain.kuch log ise MEENA KUMARI se jodkar dekh sakte hain.DHARMENDRA batate hain, akeleypan mein ek din tanhai aakar mili.usne kaha ki main toojhe tadbeer de rahi hoon.tu apne dil-o-dimag ki baaten likh
DHARMENDRA sunate hain…
BAKALAM ALFAZ MERE ASHAAR HAIN
AATA NAHI KHUD KO BHI YAKIN
SHAYAD ZAMANE KO BHAROSA HAI KI
DHARAM SHYAR HO SAKTA NAHI
TASHRAAT HAIN DIL KE MERE
KALAM NE HAIN YAHAN LIKH DIYE
DHARMENDRA apni kavitaon ka sangrah lekar aa rahe hain.panjab ke kisan ka beta actor se shyar ban chuka hai.woh zamane se kuch kahna chahta hai.kya ham sunne ko taiyaar hai…

Please provide English translations of your articles. With the response that they get from readers, it is clear that you have a lot of great stuff to say. But use of Hindi in roman script makes it very very difficult to read and your use of chaste language is also difficult to understand. PFC has a lot of non-Hindi speakers and Hindi speakers perhaps not as proficient as yourself. It would be great to have everyone involved in the discussion.

    Ajay:
Thanks for posting Dharmendra’s interview here.
Your interview is based on one to one meeting with Dharmendra or its part of some press meeting.
Its difficult to read such long article in roman script and it gives a painful feeling that an interview with Dharmendra is not understood properly. It has substance but script has taken away the required effect.
I am not sure which newspaper but I faintly recall that you write columns in either Prabhasakshi or Dainik Jagran. Is it possible for you to paste link of above article so that we can read it in devnagri script. It will be a great help. Many of us will be having full joy of reading interview of Dharmendra and especially his poetry.

Wonderful work Ajay. Thanks for the interview.
But, yes reading this in Hindi would be much easier.
A line or two of hindi in roman script chalta hai but reading the entire article in Roman script is difficult.

    Vishal mentioned Quillpad.com/hindi
    Do check it out.
I just copied your article into it and it did a wonderful translation to Hindi requiring only minor corrections.

Ajay, I am not sure if the “limitation” that you talk about (with regard to providing a translation) is in capability or wilingness? In terms of capability, honestly, your English in your replies seems excellent. So, is it just in willingness to provide a translation?

Ajay: I read your original article covering Dharmendra’s interview on Jagran’shttp://www.jagran.com/cinemazaa/
with title “Apne”. It was nice to read in Devnagri script. At present link is not working.
But everybody posts links here with due credits to the original source and you may also do this. I dont think OZ can have problem with this. More you have to ask from him.
But this way atleast hindi knowing people will enjoy the article in depth.

Writing in Devanagari is a good advise, but quite a few PFC readers don’t have the valid fonts installed to be able to read this. This includes me. I’ve a Firefox on Mac and come what may, all Devanagari fonts show up as “?”.

I think its best Ajay continues to write in Roman… ofcourse if a translation in English language can also be provided it will not seclude the rest of our non-Hindi speaking readers. I do see the point of the commenters and quite a few emails that I receive mentioning that they feel sidelined when a non-English article is published.

APNE dekhkar lagta hai ki DHARMENDRA mein abhi kitna dam hai.unhe aur filmein milni chahiye aur kirdaar bhi.
