bollywoodhungama has posted this stupid link in their site…some starstruck Rani fan….:banginghead:
talking about the film…I can’t just accept the logic behind the plot…another RNBDJ in making…
Nobody watched this movie it seems. Washed out amidst Wanted and Unnai Pol Oruvan.
He, he i unfortunately did, and my take was “Yeh Dil Maange No More Appa”.
Some thoughts in my mind after watching the movie
* For a movie that tries to deliver a message about taking women’s cricket seriously, why is that the heroine’s main ambition is about playing along side Sachin and Dhoni? Dunno left me confused?
* Why is that NRI females, in Bollywood flicks are either slutty bitches who keep throwing themselves at the hero or arrogant babes who have to be tamed( Namaste London)? Yaar even in the “bad, wicked” West, females don’t come to the cricket pitch wearing a bikini top and shorts.
* It is not always Sarson Ka Khet time, not all Punjabis start their sentences with Oye, and you don’t have folks breaking out into a Bhangra at drop of a hat. And honestly i am bored to death of those umpteen references to DDLJ/Veer Zara, YRF give us something new please.
* Is Anupam Kher not bored of playing the rich NRI dad with a desi heart? And please enuf of NRI guys who are western outside, “Bharatiya” inside, blah, blah.
* Cricket is not just a game, its a religion for us, and to date only 2 good movies on it-Lagaan and Iqbal, what’s up Bollywood, cant you guys make a decent entertaining flick on a subject that has so much to offer.
The 2 star rating is for Rani Mukherjee, who looks great, and delivers an energetic performance, she was the sole reason i sat through the flick. But seriously she needs to act in better stuff, YRF needs to hire better screen writers, and look beyond DDLJ(its history now).
And if you are seeking to watch an entertaining sports flick with a message for gender equality, watch Chak De India or Bend it Like Beckham again, than this “Dil Bole No More Appa”.
You ask too much questions I say !
one word for this movie … IDIOTIC….. Rani’s career is officially over…. 0/5
Just came back from this amazing movie..i love when a cricket commentator calls full toss ball a short pitched delivery…
Sopper dooper movie bos!!! go watch it right now!!!!! I love Sherlyn Chopra :-)
Sheryln Chopra as cheerleader for IPL3, all those Gori babes, can take a hike.
And our own Women’s team in IPL3, Desi Babes, with Rani, Preity, Shilpa, Priyanka and co.
Jai Ho.
It would be a understatement to call this a C grade movie. It would be an insult to the C grade moviewalas. I have seen better C grade movies. YRF should quit movies. May be get into real estate. How about developing the YRF studios into a 5 star hotel only for NRIs. Guess what the theme of the hotel will be ‘DDLJ’
hahhahahahahhahahahahaha
What an idea sirjee!
Damn! You broke the page.
Excellent advice to YRF though, that too for fee.
Guess where that 5 star hotel would be? Correct jawaab..in the middle of a sarson da khet..
No its gonna be right in the Swiss Alps. Sarson Da Swiss.
If it’s in the midst of Swiss Alps, NRIs don’t get that mitti di khush’boo’ they are so dying for. It has to be in the middle of a sarson da khet.
Also how else do you bring those bad NRI/Gori girls on track without showing them the pind?
Why should it be “Mitti Ki Khushboo”, why not “Barf Ka Khushboo”, i am going to lodge a protest against this discrimination to “Barf”.
One doubt, what if the bad NRI/Goris see some 1 doing “naughty things” in the Sarson ka Khet?
Tell her they are smelling the mitti first hand..
My rating again is for Rani alone. She made this very silly yarn of a tale bearable enough so that I could sit through it.Wish people would make better movies with her though.Come on YRF you can do better!!!
pain of a movie
Khalid Mohd, has given it a 3/5, and this when he had trashed Kaminey. But then considering that Khalid Miya has been giving quite weird ratings which make no sense, not too surprised.
I think Khalid miya is getting too old, khair Id-Mubarak Khalid miya
I have said it all in my review
every film should have some purpose…. iska bhi hai… its like laying the final nail on Rani Mukherjee’s taken for granted career, Yash Raj’s everything same, story thoda different actors alag alag funda, semi killing their usual norms, maybe make some different movie.. something different… chalo isi baat pe DBH should be a path breaking movie…. cheers….
(psst … what is WANTED and the Muscled Khan hadn’t released that day? this might ve been a lukewarm hit.. kya pataa… so for all we know.. path abhi break nahi hua)
jai ho! PS kya kar rahe ho yaar… !!!
psst… oz… dhyaan se… nahi toh Alyssa maar daalegi
Hey by the way reminds me … sorry sir if my post in PFC CLUB wrt to critics caused any issues… tried to reach you once you had locked it, lekin i couldnt get thru…
everything is fine… lekin 5 stars… betelal kya hain yeh!!!
yahi sawaal maine bhi picture dekhne ke baad pehle apne aap se aur uske baad YRF se hawaa mei poocha tha… koi jawaab nahi … only if this was the mahabhrat era, koi na koi devta aake bataa hi dete ki yeh kaisi maaya thi…
Beta, tu kuch Reverse Engineering to nahin kar raha hai.
Sirjee, it was definately a one Friday, when one moving into oblivion star took himself seriously, and another star reached the position of moving towards oblivion due to a callous taken for granted approach towards movies… cheers to the friday!!!
