Depp, when he is becoming congnizant of his true self -that track stood out for me. AP as gangster, ya, good, but Depp, he’s super here…
I personally prefer this movie over other gangster movies like Goodfellas and Scarface (I hated it).
showing at 9 tonite on pix, for those who havn’t seen
Saw this last night on Zstudio. What a movie! And what an ending!
Al Pacino is touchingly marvellous, the heart bleeds for Lefty. That last scene, where he puts his stuff in the drawer, leaves it a little open & then goes out, couldnt have been done better.
Johnny Depp is great too, you can almost reach out and touch the tension Joe feels whenever there’s dangerous talk among the gang.
(thank God for Zstudio’s subtitles, I wouldve missed out on so much of the dialogue without that).
i’m so in love with this movie that i’ve already seen it 4 times , still i’m not bored of it.
amazing script…. at no point you feel that you’re losing that connection with the storyline.
instead of going to film schools i would prefer to watch such movies and learn film making..!!
