Content : Fast paced Play based on Anuraag’s Psyche
I am a big fan of Anuraag. I like his movies (written/directed by him) but I find Anuraag’s psyche more interesting. Enough has already been said about it, and I am pretty modest person when it comes to praising someone… I never actually do that, I just analyze! End product may come out as applause or beatings.
I watched Gulal last month and I loved its pace. I was in process of writing a play that time, and I asked myself if Anuraag has to write a play, how would that be? No, I really don’t know if he has actually written some plays or not… but I wanted to write one from his behalf! Spooky ??
So Step One : Become Anuraag… draw his personality sketch based on his movies/articles on web. Then become him. Watch the movies again, and this time thinking, you have made them!! 
Believe me it sounds…whatever…but it was fun and I felt so powerful!! And I liked it… I liked that I made MY films MY way!! So now I am Anuraag.
Step Two: Find a plot. I chose deception. I know I have done that in past, but still one more time, with lots of difference. Its not characters deceiving each other, but writer of play deceiving audience. Again and again, in a rhythm called entertainment. I wrote the script, and I could hear the rhythm loud the way I wanted it.
Step Three: Reality Check. The script was narrated to bunch of people, majority from our target audience. The feedback was surprisingly good… People understood it, they could feel the thrill of script’s journey. There were few who couldn’t understand why it has to be done this way….
Step Four: Make it. We prepared actors, sets, lighting, sound, etc passionately and now the product is ready. It took us good 1 month of working everyday.
Step Five: Market It in style: The idea is deception, so the whole marketing about the play focused on ‘Nothing in specific’ but using different media to portray something different about us. The posters say that its gonna be “dead serious”, our youtube teaser video says we are funny and spicy… Radio Mirchi says its story of perfect people. So what really is the genre of this play ?
Step Six: Show It
And we are doing it this Sunday, 17th May Nehru Memorial Hall, Camp, Pune starting at 6:30pm.

It’s no longer good or bad, as it’s brilliant already, people will just understand it or not. WOW!!!!

There is no mention of Anuraag’s name there! or anywhere else… be it radio mirchi/newspaper advertisements!! Not even the cast knows about how the play was written!!
I am a creator and I created something that I am really proud of. Check my play for its originality!!
I just shared the process that I undertook to write this script….

‘Anuraag’ pretty much shows how much you know about him. Do you go on indiafm saying it is based on Taran Adarsh’s psyche, or Aamir’s blog saying it’s based on his psyche. I have a suggestion. Instead of coming up with horrible promotional ideas, and an even freaky way of doing things.
I suggest three simple words.

Its true about Anurag’s psyche “We prepared actors, sets, lighting, sound, etc passionately and now the product is ready”…Yes,thats passion on whole…I guess If the play might have been made based on Anurag’s psyche and if I had watched that…I would have been thinking about you…not about the play..bcoz that script would be of passion filled.
Still..I expect that would be a gud thing to work on to show yourself..congrats..I hope you might have done it…:)))
