@ Vishu – That was a typing mistake. The list has been updated!
I had originally posted all of the winners, but then removed them at the last minute thinking it was too much text for a Talking Point. Thanks KCP and Evelyn for providing a comprehensive list!
but well, there’s never too much text for internet commentary…
Good to see OLLO and MMJ doing good in the Filmfare… but when will it hit mainstream… and why the distinction?
when will the pfc awards be declared?
Somehow this year with Filmfare awards seemed to get it right.I am happy with their selections. The small but successful films were completely ignored at the screen awards.
You Know what Filmfare award is not fare with films.
Those Idiots just gave the awards to Big budget movies.
How can they forget Mithya,Aamir,Shaurya,A Wednesday,Mumbai meri jaan,Dasvidaniya and many low budget but good movies.
It hurts man, I wonder if slumdog was made by an Indian Director no body would go to watch the movie or it will collected near about 5 to 6 crore.
We really need a Real fare awards.
Filmfare sucks
Disappointed not to have seen Aamir in the list
the list is not as bad as one had hoped……at least they gave awards to Rock on and Jodha and not to Singh is Kingg any other shite….
I even found last year’s award list better than the previous years. Is filmfare finally taking the criticism seriously, or are these just aberrations?
Just wondering, what would have the fate been if MMJ had released just after 26/11 ?
Glad to see there is no Dostana, RNBDJ, Singh is King, etc! :D
Good that they finally showed some sense…I thought Ghajini & RNBDJ will sweep the awards…:-D
but I thought AR should have won for JA & not JTYJN…
& A Wednesday also deserved some appreciation…
some respite dis time….
I m so hapy for Manu Rishi, I think his dialogues rocked!!! the were very locale and very effective.
Sorry for above, bad keyboard. I meant Manu Rishi was just amazing with his dialogues and he totally deserved the Filmfare for OLLO.
Go, OLLO! Massively kicked by the results – only if they had at least nominated (forget awarding) Dibakar, Abhay, Paresh & Sneha Khanwalkar – guess these things take their own sweet time! And no mention for Neeraj Pandey’s A Wednesday?? Very disappointing.
Am soo happy for Nishi!!! He deserves it..it was a damn complicated film to make..esp with all the self appointed protectors of society, etc..and the ending of MMJ..has to be the best ending for quite some time in hindi film industry…
By the way..did you observe that Best costume went to OLLO..and not JA..i cant find a good enough reason to justify this..can someone put some logic here?
and they ignored abhay deol for OLLO
Thank God..Tushaar Kapoor didn’t win supporting actor award..
Where is Aamir?
:-)
hrithik give the award to aamir, aamir really deserves it, for his brilliant work in ghajini. im not satisfied wid the award as it does not considered ghajini though it was a record breaking movie.aamir has done a lot of hardwork for the movie.i hope iifa wont do dis type of mistake
what daaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa?????
Critic Awards for
Best Actress: Sahana Goswami for Rock On!
Best Actor: Manjit Singh for Oye Lucky! Lucy Oye!
we understand that hrithik and priyanka won…but critics actor went to MANJIT SINGH???????????????this was the worst filmfare awards i have ever seen…Where is Amir for ghajini??acctress cud be aishwarya rai..but sahana,okkkk…..But how come Amir or Akki or srk in stead of Manjit????this was a nytmare….someone said it ryt….These people will never give an award to Amir Khan, never
@Sanjeev,
Completely agree with u..
Anyone knows who is best debut singer(female)? If yes then do tell me.
No best actor/actress in a comedy?! or have they removed that award.
It is truly a new dawn when films such as OLLO and Mumbai Meri Jaan are recognized by non-other-than Filmfare! And the year has started with such a bang, thanks to Luck By Chance and Dev.D.
I guess the taste of the masses is catching up with the taste of those few connoisseurs who knew this all along…
A correction regarding MMJ. You have misspelled name of one of the screenwriters of MMJ. It’s not YOGENDRA but YOGESH Vinayak Joshi.
Who won the award for the villain roles?
Hrithik??
Er, no.
Shreya Talpade deserved the award for ‘Sajjanpur’ man!
Hrithik does NOT deserve the best actor. It is Aamir who has given best performance of 2008 in Ghajini.
fair list!
ALMOST.
hrithik for JA…!!
wtf…!!
1 n only…SRK deserved it for RNBDJ…wat a brilliant actin…!!
:x
hello friends, I don’t know whether I m right or wrong but most of the results of filmfare awards were as I thought for example the best actor, film and best director awards , the benefit of Khan’s rivalry directly goes to Hritik Roshan, Jodha Akbar & Ashutoh Gowarikar if any of these awards had gone to Any of Khan’s films you all know what was going to happen, so here filmfare found the solution to give these wards to third party to avoid any conflict. And I think Gulzar deserve the best lyricist award for ‘tu meri dost hain’ but here again I thought it was the fame of Javed Akthar that did not let it happen it was completely insane. Most of the other goes to people who were really deserving like, best actress, best debut male n female actress, best supporting actor actress wards, best music, singers male n female were all given to deserving people. This is completely my personal thought and I dont know how other people thinks.
Thanks for reading my comments.
Amit
I thought the only glitch was with the Critics awards. You got to be kidding ! Also filmfare tend to give awards to all popular ppl. Y cant they give award to 1 person (Farhan/Imran Khan) Also Amit Trivedi & Aamir should have got some recognition (this year itself)
Next year is goin to be interesting…we will see thr true colours.
Yes I was also wondering Sriam (@30). This year we have Paresh Rawal in Dhoondte Reh Jaoge. The movie is bakwas but the acting by all actors, including Kunal Khemu, is superb.
i think KK should get the award for “khuda jaane”
this is totally unfair
i think Aamir should deserve the best actor award…………..not hritik
mmm i think Amir only deserve tht Award…..dont knw why industry neglecting him tht much……otherwise for 2nd option i ll go for SRK…….its ok lets see next year….last Q…. thr is no Award for wednesday!!!!!!!!!!!
54th FFA’s were nice to see for a change with new hosts – awesome performances and for a change the crowd looked more interactive.
In my opinion I was very very supprised to see Jodha Akbar take some many awards.
As far as Manjit Singh goes, a well deserved award to a ‘nameless’ person for a wonderful movie – happy to see that these movies have ‘finally’ started to get ’some’recognition.
Cheers to all new actors who don’t have generations in the movie business to get their first break!
WHERE IS THE BEST VILLAIN AWARD????
THIS YEAR IT HAS BEEN DISAPPEARED OR WHAT???
THE NEGATIVE CHARACTER AWARD IS NEITHER LISTED
NOR SHOWN. CHECK IF FILMFARE HAS MISSED SOMETHING.
Filmfare can’t even keep up their site running right – wanted to read a little bit about their history and who’s who – got this error:

OMG that stupid Jodha Akbar took all the stupid awards. When gajhani the movie starring Amir Khan Should have won the award for best actor ,best film and thats it now i understand y Amir Khan doesnt go this stupd Filmfare awards. because these non- derseving people always win!
This is not fare, every time filmfare neglects the actor in Aamir they are getting exposed with their foolish policies. This is only a drama and a biased function. Is it “Filmfare” or “Film Unfare”.
