- Who the hell in India had the time and patience to watch a film like Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna.
- Krrish proves that you can make some crap (and call it India’s first super hero film) and mint money out of that.

Pathetic choices as usual..no surprises though…though i love hrithik..but…for Krrish and Dhoom2..geez no way..
Where is 15 Park Avenue?
Where is Being Cyrus?…no Boman for this role?
Where is Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Maara?
Where is Woh Lamhe? No Kangana?
It is insulting to not have Aish nominated for Distress in Spices…:(( =))
@ Tushar agree with you on Vinay Pathak…he is a fantastic actor..everytime eachtime sidelined though..
Hi OM,
15 Park Avenue – it was released in 2005, but yes that was a decent film…I liked Shabana and the actor who did the doctors role (I mean he was great).
Maine Gandhi Ko Nahi Maara is again 2005.
Kangana I have taken for Gangster.
I did not like Being Cyrus but Boman Irani was ace in it. The other actors in Being Cyrus made me cringe.
i thot kangana was better in woh lamhe…and no OMKARA in best film category:o..i agree with u about ranvir shourey and navin nischol..but i think these screw-heads have nvr seen khosla ka ghosla coz they were busy watching “cult” (hahaha) like D:2…its a blashphemy…but y the hell am i lamenting…its a joke anyways
Hi Sammy,
Omkara as a whole I feel is not that great (now that is totally my opinion and I know you might not agree with me).
But yes Omkara had its moments (but overall I felt it was a bit dull).
OH my gAAAwd
the jury strikes again!!!!!!
it cant get more p a t h e t i c than this!!!
I agree with you – not a single nomination for Khosla ka Ghosla, Dor and Being Cyrus!! Hello?
Check my website for my take on the music nominations – no “Omkaara” for best music! :o
Filmfare should bloody shut shop!!! >:p
If u see music…there is no BAS EK PAL in the best music category.
Omkara is indian music at its best, I mean its sucess has proven that even raw can be cool.
yeah i saw this earlier.. i just didnt know what to think :| … but i was also wondering… where is kangana?? i thought she was really good in woh lamhe…
dunno whether i shud speak or not….but DOR to me was biggest dissapointment…saw it first day first show and still lamenting…Nagesh sir lost it completely…….
Being Cyrus too was gr8….
Yes, no “Bas Ek Pal” in best music! I realise, now that you say it!
Actually I agree,Filmfare nominations are a joke but we also have to understand that these are not critics awards.
So they have to include popular nominations(read hit movies) also.
About being Cyrus, i think as it is an english movie, it cannot be nominated but trust me guys
it will receive a special award.(Filmfare’s way of compensating.lol)
Who will win? This is my take
others were kinda expected…(them being popular+super hit etc.)
but no omkara for best music???????
despite having 1 of the most popular songs of the year…
fuck, even ar rahman acknowledged it as the best music of the year, in his GIFA(or someother similar)award winning speech 4 rdb.
this years filmfare awards are actually happening at yashraj lawns..i mean studios
that is where they happen every year anurag…iifa and others happen at the bachans’:D
dont they get sick and tired of attending them ?
no wonder they are so oscar hungry(they will never reach there, will only reach the oscar script library which is another joke..haha)
iifa happens at the bachans :| .. i didnt know that..
Anurag – did you get bouquet from bachchans on BF? heard that Amitabh Bachchan has simply loved BF and is waiting to work with you.
@ Jwalant.. Ask Amitabh Bachchan to stand in line :”>
AMEN! the future is bright for wannabe’s
Anurag work with bachchan Sr. irrespective of what happened in the past. Afterall he is our best star-actor. Your combo would be deadly.
what happened in the past??? (confused)
bachan sr is a gr8 actor and a legend …
but these awards and these ‘legends’ endorsing them bring them down in my eyes.
also why should a person of the stature of mr bachchan be offened by someone’s honest opinion on a film …the politics of the industry sucks!
u stand for truth and if that truth offends some big shot…
u face such drastic consequences …u r thrown out of projects etc…why do they have such falesly huge egos??…spkng frm personal experiences
rocky,
95% of stuff in des is like these awards only. So what will one do. You have to live and die there with these very people. So what can bachchan do? All awards are like that, people are like that and press is like that. mediocrity everywhere. bachchan, however great an actor he is, has limitations as a human being. Now you dont have a single decent film awards in des. Is this bachchan’s problem? Anurag is only starting in comparison to bachchan and he himself is changing. read this http://ia.rediff.com/movies/2007/feb/07anurag.htm.
where Anurag clearly mentions he does not want to give his opinion and because world cannot take his honesty. It is same with Bachchan also. For years he did not speak to the press for right reasons. What happened eventually? The same is happening with Anurag as well.
well dats so true jwalant….teh higher u go the more vulnerable u become…and sometimes we may not understand the insecurities of someone like bachchan …and ya life;’s like that …there is groupism and poltics everywhere …and honesty takes a kick !!…..even someone like mahesh bhatt cant claim of being remotely close to honest as he was years ago…
dats an interesting piece ….we all become politically correct , dont we?
Guys…I am sick with this Bachchan family and there family drama.
They all are big time opportunists who will do anything to move ahead in life (I dont know what is the lust all about…I mean they are successful they have achieved everything one could ask for and still there hunger is not satisfied).
They made sure there family saga is all in media and the buzz never goes off.
This BAAP BETA jodi are the biggest hypocrites I have ever seen.
As for BLACK FRIDAY – any AB (Jnr or Snr)…had to say that they liked it and they are impressed by Anuraag’s work – cause this is a fact which they cant ignore…(also u will never see Bachchan’s saying anything bad about anyone in public).
I guess now the BAAP BETA HRITIK SRK etc etc would want to work with Anuraag (yes the rule is to go and first be sucessful and then come back and then they might consider doing ur film)…not sure if that feeling is shared the other way around.
I feel it is cause of these Johars, Yashrajs and other clones in their camp (of candyfloss makers)that Indian cinema is stagnent…I mean so much valuable money is pumped into making worthless cinema.
I completely agree with your take on Filmfare Awards, but what can one expect? Star Screen Awards were surprising to see on the otherhand. Khosla Ke Ghosla won a special Ramnath Goenka award. Omkara got best music. Siddarth of RDB got the best newcomer due to the shock of Upen Patel (priceless pretending to shrug it off). Sorry to ramble, but you must try to look at the positive changes and not try to focus too much on the glaring negatives.
i agree with you…but i think that kareena was really great in omkara…for me she was the best …she was simply natural…how she says she feel the role…rani and ash don’t deserved the nominations…even priyanka for Don was better…but where is ayesha takia??…and the only great thing of KANK…was the music…and Preity Zinta…she was very different in it..i like her much in this different role., the best movie was omkara…where is?
OH MY GOD!!
Utter rubbish nominations. I am shocked to not find Ayesha Takia, Shreyas Talpade and Gul Panag for Dor?? Does filmfare even know what it is doing? where are sunjay dutt and arshad warsi??
disgusting!!
dhruv,
dont be shocked buddy. Dor was very ordinary film with avg performances.OK> takia was a bit above avg. But Panag??? She was very very limited.Same diction, same expression. There was no voice modulation at all and no change in expression. Also a tv serial story was blown into a full length featuer film. I loved Shreyas talpade’s mimicry though
i agree …dor was very average…..and so were he performncaes…it was no iqbal
Hi Jwalant/Rockstar,
I might go with the fact that YES Dor wasnt that great…but if you compare it with the trash bollywood churns out I would say it wasnt that Bad for an effort.
…and I felt Gul Panag did a decent job…I mean it was her movie all the way…Takia didnt had that much to do as compared to Panag…
Please note that this is my personal opinion.
FILMFARE IS UTTER RUBBISH/TRASH.
ONLY FOOLS REQUIRE APPRECIATION FROM FILMFARE.
Guys just refer to this Indiafm link :
http://www.indiafm.com/features/2007/02/17/2265/index.html
…something on the similar lines.
:-?:-?:-?:-?:-?
Total crap. I am not going to watch filmfare awards this time. I know it does not make a difference but…
Hi rakshit,
Man I would have really hoped that it would have made the difference but alas!!!(:|(:|(:|
But nice to find that u are frustated…just as I am…lets hope things improve (and lets make our own small but sincere efforts).:):):)
Thanks.
