Free Download: Shh… (Idi Chaala Manchi Ooru) OST

Small film… the most misused phrase in the cinema industry.
Different film… another most misused phrase in the Indian cinema industry.
But honestly, this difference is what every new producer sets out to make, whilst their movie is in the planning phase. Only a few succeed though…. like this pair from Apoorva Chitra, who promised to themselves that they would make their debut production a truly different one. And they made Kamli – a movie that is guaranteed to make impression on all those who watch(ed) it.
Now they’ve returned, Hari Charan Prasad and Sukanya, this time with Hari wielding the megaphone as well – and the movie is named Shh… idi chaala manchi
ooru. An apt name for a thriller, for “Shh.. is a horror based suspense thriller – a mystery” says Hari, the maker.
In other words, it’s supposedly a gripping eclogue concocted by marrying the pristine nativity with a whodunit base, garnished with elements of supernaturality… resulting in something on the lines of Shyamalan’s Sense or David Koepp’s Echoes – and, not unlike a cocktail, is best when served chilled.
The esteemed readers of PFC have already been introduced to the OST of the movie. As you know, the MD debutant Sri Vasant’s composition slash orchestration strongly reminds one of a few golden numbers from IR, ARR, MMK, et al.
With just two songs, the album is very high on melody, making it a nice and easy listening. And, pioneering a new trend in the audio releases, PFC is happy to announce that the songs are now available to our readers in a downloadable MP3 format (links below).
Think of it as Hari’s new year’s gift to all of you – the connoisseurs of small films, the patrons of different films, the readers of PFC. BTW, Hari also mentioned that the movie is all set to hit the screens tomorrow (23 Jan).
So, download the free music, enjoy the blissful melodies, and watch the movie when it arrives at a movie theater near you. And do not forget to check back in and tell Hari about what you liked (and did not like) in his movie.
Feedback is the only way to encourage and improve small cinema, and PFC, we’re proud to say, is the best mode of communication.
Peace.

Shh... this is a good town!
