Girish Karnad’s new play FLOWERS, is based on a folktale from Chitradurga It’s about a priest whose life has become a balancing act between his passionate love for God and equally passionate love for his courtesan and is caught off his guard as one day they collide.
This dramatic monologue is produced by Ranga Shankara.
Rajit Kapur who won the national award for his performance plays the central character. The play is directed by Roysten Abel, who won the Best Play award at Edinburgh for his interpretation of Othello.
The production brings together the best of the Indian theatre professionals.
At Prithvi Theatre from the 20th March to 25th March.
