One of the most popular playwrights, poet and actor, Habib Tanvir, was found dead early this morning. He was in hsopital for last 20 days due to respiratory disorder and his struggle with life finally ended. He was a man of progressive thoughts and will be most remembered for his plays Agra Bazaar and Charandas Chor. He acted in very few movies like Attenborough’s Gandhi, and was last seen in Subhash Ghai’s movie Black & White, and before that he had made an appearance in Ketan Mehta’s Mangal Pandey. May his soul rest in peace.
