Hava Aney Dey opens at the MoMA, New York!

Hava Aney Dey PosterHava Aney Dey is part of the Global Lens 2008, a project conceived by The Global Film Initiative (GFI) to encourage filmmaking in countries with developing film communities. Developed with seed money from GFI, this year’s eight films, representing eight different countries, constitute a concise survey of contemporary filmmaking from areas where local economic realities make such expensive and technology-driven endeavors a challenge. Now in its fifth year, will première at the MOMA (Museum of Modern Art), New York in January 2008, before embarking on year-long tour of over 50 cities across the United States.

*The DVD version will be releasing in the US mid 2008. Will keep you posted.

    Have to look into it. I don’t want it to be leaked.

    @Mr. Sen-Gupta,
    Congratulations!! I checked out the listings. Its not playing in Honolulu or in Phoenix. I am not sure what is playing in Honolulu in May. Schedule isn’t there. The only other city I may be able to catch it is Boise. The schedule isn’t ready yet. Can you tell me if this movie will be playing in Honolulu in May this year or in Boise? If not, I would have to work with you to possibly get a DVD.
    Let me know.

    @PSG
    By the way, the initial reason I looked up your post was your name and my father-in-law’s name are the same. :) But, I am happy I did read it and got to know about you and the movie you have made.
    Cheers!

    Am very sorry but I have to tell you this…. your name is spelt wrongly in Hindi on your website. The maatra which gives the ‘r’ sound in Partho should be on ‘tha’and not on ‘pa’…. Just thought I should let you know.

    @ Partho -
    i was being facetious. i fully intend to attend the screening after paying for it. I took an Ekadesi vrath of no emoticons 2 years ago when i started blogging. Now u know.

    For your information, HAVA ANEY DE has been written by Yogesh Vinayak Joshi who has also written script of Nishikant Kamat’s new hindi film BOMBAY MERI JAAN.
