Heyy Sajid, wasn’t the movie enough to kill us???
God makes up for deficiencies in men in various ways. He makes some rich, some sensible, some compassionate and some physically strong. But on some particularly shitty days, god gives total morons something that he shud’nt – brainwaves. And based on the prior premise that the day is shitty, those brainwaves come only to destroy any left sane men after watching the prior referenced morons.
Su, who sent us this news, was initially dazed discerning if the following is a scoop or a news. In IndiaFm’s words:
One can clearly see that Sajid Khan has painstakingly ensured that he gives his best to the product from the very beginning till the end. That is visible from the film’s making, aptly titled ‘Making of the Baby’, which is clearly a by-product of some excellent planning by people associated with it and led by the director. How exactly? Well, believe it or not but the entire shooting of the film has been compressed into four hours with Sajid Khan taking a viewer through each of the 73 days (yes, each of the days) of shooting in a chronological order.
Nahiiiiiiiiiiiiii! Is that your reaction??? Yes Su, you succeeded in your efforts and we share your pain for not being able to discern between a scoop, news or complete downright idiocracy of people whose movie’s become commercially successfully and we are left with this kind-of outrageous interviews…
I feel in today’s age, directors are becoming actors. They are even becoming anchors and compeering talk shows. I’m the only director who was already doing all this before I became a director.
I was never a name who became a face. All directors were only names and then they became known faces, I can give you names, from Farah Khan, my sister, to Farhan Akhtar to Karan Johar to Sanjay Leela Bhansali they were only names earlier not faces. They became faces after they came on T.V. I was already a very established big face on TV who became a director.
I just felt that no other debut director has his film in the top ten lists of all times. All the films in the top ten collections list have second time, third time, fourth time, or fifth time directors at the helm of things. I know the whole list by-heart. Heyy Babyy is the only entry which has made it into top ten with a first time director. So, I think that’s a very big thing to talk about.

Chill guys, he tried.. I saw people/ families dancing/ laughing in the hall in almost every other scene of this total crap of a movie. We are a miniscule proportion of people feeling cheated this way. A film maker (or any profession for that matter) can only be as good as the film viewers (society). His movie seems to have worked for many of the commoners or should I say “non intellectuals”

Its so sad how Sajid Khan and his evil sister Farah Khan manipulate the audience
First Sajid Khan makes a completely idiotic movie, 3 men who keep sleeping with every women they find (ya right), then suddenly they become this unbelievably loving fathers (come on), using fabricated emotional scenes, a cute child used in completely manipulated way, for me the film sucked.
Then Farah khan, using SRK’s 40 year old six packs (god even Shekar Suman got those), remaking an old flm Karz only with extra SRK hamming, what was new in the film ?
And then these bastards go and claim they made the biggest hit India has ever seen ?
Vishal Chutlani claims OSO had the best soundtrack ?
Sajid Khan claiming he made a movie which is in the all time top ten ? WTF ?

I wonder how does the audience gets manipulated again and again ?

People all around are same, dude, atleast when it comes to entertainment. I remember people crying collectively in a scene from Kabhi khushi kabhi gam in Lucknow, while I was crying throughout the movie :-). And having lived in Rajinder Nagar for 2 yrs, I have had my share of PVR Naraiana and Satyam, Patel Nagar. Those were the days..
Hello VS, no body is bitching… its a platform to let your hearts out……and of course no body is denying the 96.71 cr world wide gross the film made.
That shows the quality of entertainment the Indian audience are wanting, thus putting the writers and directors in a ‘delirium’. The producers want to clone it, the distributors and exhibitors think thats right, and they jack the creative heads.
Somebody should do this case study, or write a thesis on the minds of the Indian audience. What the fk is wrong with them!

as per my POV, Hey babby was not a crap nor a great movie.
first half was not for family surely.
In my city people were crying and laughing while watching the film. He managed to attract the audience to theatres and most of them enjoyed the movie except me.

It may be a guess but it seems after watching Hey Baby and by seeing Sajid Babu’s track record first through TV shows and later through this film and through his SENSATIONAL articles /interviews, post Hey Baby that Tom Green
kinda cinema serves GOD for him and people of India should be ready to watch “Bholu got fingered”. :d
Is Sajid married? if not then only his wife will bring him on ground;)
This case study becomes even more important/ essential/pragmatic when you check out the list of films which were disastrous, and, a blotch to filmmaking, but have raked in the moolah:

Things have turned so low that I’d no option but to enjoy Dhamaal. It was a long time that I waited for a really humerous movie and finally gave in to Dhamaal. No choice, you see. My worst fears are coming true – I’m starting to enjoy these craps.
guys..why fretting over masala entertainers..all film industries worldwide have such films coming out all the while..ever seen steve martin movies..they make a whole lot of bucks..and are as crappy as they come??

We have all kinds of filmmakers, all kinds of cinema, all kinds of audiece… Everyone has the right to choose what film to see every Friday. If the ones that you like are not the ones that rake in the moolah, what’s the problem?? You keep seeing na what you want to! If the guys in Pritampur, Kota, Durgapur loved Bhool Bhulaiyya and Heyy Babyy and it does not meet with our sensibilities, big deal! Let them see what they want to. These films probably make them laugh, which is all that they want for their money’s worth at the end of a hard day’s work.
Ek hi film se, ek director kitne logo ko please kar sakta hai?? Most of us here loved Johnny Gaddar and probably some guy sitting in Patan, Gujarat, is wondering what the hell is wrong with us?! Hence, to each his own.
Anyway, thankfully, times have changed.. And more filmmakers today are getting to make their kind of cinema. Johnny, BF, TZP and now Mithya now get released, watched, appreciated.. Its a matter of time before this audience becomes large enough to make even these films huge succeses.. It’s a great change!!

Retarded people deserve our love and patience not our wrath. Sajid Khan certainly falls in this category, he being the same person who when praising Sholay claimed that it was a cult movie.
