Howard Stern
I have been meaning to write about Howard Stern for a while. He is an American media Mogul, shock jock,author,super intelligent yet he can be outright disgusting and give you the
heebejeebees with his bullshit and outrageous subject matter. He is the highest paid and
also the most penalised personality in american broadcast business.Today, millions of Americans(from CEOs to janitors) tune to The Howard Stern Show on SIRIUS Satellite Radio station, everyday.
The big question is what makes Howard stern so immensely popular? To some, he is down right offensive and crosses the line of decency on a regular basis. His response all the time, he is reprimanded is; “can’t you take a joke?” he gets busted by the FCC(regulatory body), like how the school prankster gets sent to detention room by the school Principal. What has become obvious is that he is spun this negativity into a 10+ million loyal listeners who shell out major cash to listen to what he dishes out 4 days a week plus syndication. Howard is laughing all the way to the bank with a hefty load of money (let’s say atleast a few hundred million), every year.
Born into a conservative jewish family, he attended School and college and did major stints at mainstream TV and Radio before hooking up with Sirius Satellite radio service.Howard stretches the first amendment of the US constituion to the fullest extent and speaks and expresses freely. For the daily listener it is all about tits, pussy, ass, farts and hair in the private areas but if you have followed his career you know that is just a teaser, a dare to “come and get me”. He wants to take on the system by its horns and is not afraid to do so. Politicians and Corporations either stay away from him or are freinds with him. Except for FCC which has no choice but to do thier job, not many dare to take him on. Somehow I just don’t think he is in it for the power, money or the cheap laughs,Only time will tell what this media rebel, revolutionary is up to.

Howard Stern has been talking inane nonsense for quite some time ow. He is what forms that part of middle america which is so full of trash that they start ot actually make it look good.
Howard belongs to the same club as eminem and they just want to shock the audience. This does not make people who listen to him clever nor people who hate him prudish. He is actually full of crap and his radio & TV shows do not border on the vulgar but are seeped in vulgarity. I mean getting naked women or asking strippers to strip does not make you cool or different, you are still titilating the audience.
The concept of “This is different” “Hatke” has made this guy also an icon. Andy Warhol had commented that everyone is going to be famous for 15 mniutes but Howard seems to have elongated those 15 minutes quite substantially.

I actually saw the movie he made “private parts”, which oddly enough does not contain a lot of nudity (good for people like me).
Howard stern plays himself (obviously not his early years) and shows a story of how a little , ordinary person wanted to make it big and successful and the hurdles one must pass to reach the top. This might be a cliche plot but the really great part of this movie (i’m a woman) is that no matter what Howard does, he ultimately loves his wife and kids and he just acts and is a normal, wonderful dad behind the “shock jock” personality that is Howard Stern. Whether this is true or not remains to be seen but since I never heard of Howard divorcing his wife or leaving his family, I can lean towards that this is true.
If you really want to know about Howard’s life from his point of view, watch private parts, you won’t be disappointed (there is a little nudity but not much for those who may care about stuff like that). Not all things are what they seem. Sorry for all the cliches.
