Thanks to your discovery, Rick, saw this yesterday.
Though the ending is kind of, hmmmm, ambiguous, if I may say, it would have been very typical if it was done the usual way.
The dialogues are super here, born out of defining such strong characters for the lead pair. Acting yes, but the plot – I mean its just a date shown throughout that too about 90 minutes long. Very creative story.
Thanks for the reco.
am glad you liked it Arthi, the film was shot on a very small budget of $12,000 though the end cost touched somewhere around 25,000. its really inspiring how the director got around to making this, at an age when people are using almost 40k to shoot a short film, this is really an achievement.
did u guys know that the lost shoe project dot com exists?
did u like the Linklater movies as well RR?
@Dpac – Yes it does. It appears in the end credits as well. There is one created for lost gloves but this too.
the ending was ambiguous arti??
i was hoping that he doesnt mess it up in the end (the director i mean). this was sweeeeeeeet!!
the other mention about confessions card thingy is also true. they brought out a book a few years back and theres a website as well (forgot the link)
@DPac
nah, didn’t check it before. just visited the site…i think I’ll submit a few pics there
and yeah, loved the ending…
oh yeah love most of Linklater’s films…and i guess so does the director of this film
@ DPac – She takes his snap with her. Thot that she kinda left the door open. So what exactly she wanted?
That part was somewhat off for me. Thats all.
