SYNOPSIS
MEDHA & ZOOMBISH II is, well about, MEDHA and ZOOMBISH!
MEDHA & ZOOMBISH II is about children culture and about their expression of self-indulgence and idealism.
The play explores the undercurrents in a school with different caste, class and cultural backgrounds.
The play is about ZOOMBISH, who is an “outsider”, and MEDHA who is generation now.
The dark theme, sophisticated music, theatrical choreography and focus on social problems are the four pillars of the play.
Most of the characters have been carefully selected from real life case-studies, which evidently sensed a stirring of revolt / revulsion / quiet acceptance – among children. The play tries to understand the new shifts in a society which is heavily dictated by its values and tradition. In such a society, will young children be able to achieve what they want. And will such a thing, be acceptable to elders who feel it would lead to a hell on earth and the destruction of everything that they valued.
During the play, MEDHA and ZOOMBISH (and many others) come to terms with a cold-blooded and self-centered reality, which is entirely new and incomprehensible to most of us.
