Is Jai Ho a copy of Rambha Ho?
PFCdesktop | Qwiki | June 8, 2009 at 11:17 am
Apparently the music director of Rambha Ho, Bappi Lahiri thinks so!. Rambha ho was a hit 80’s song from the movie Armaan (starring Raj Babbar). According to this article Lahiri “claims that the superhit Jai ho is a reworking of his own 80s hit Ramba ho.”

Awesome!!
Heard Bappi da calling RnB as Reedam and Booze the other day. ;)

concentrate on his hands, and accent at 1.47 in right through 1.51, 1.52 and 1.53!
After reading that article (linked here) its quite obvious that fat f!@k Bappi-da is smoking something he should not …or he needs to stop chewing on those gold chains that hang below his multiple chins!
This is one seriously delirious dude! Imagine this “thief” actually thinks someone’s stealing from him. Now that would be really low!
one of most weird comparison i have heard in lonnggg time.. on top of that too it’s getting an place in PFC .. alas…
Are bhai
why are we taking Bappi da so seriously…
The problem is that we are so sensitive about our idols.
Give it a good laugh and turn the page, we love bappida and rehmaan…
Chilax
Abhi
Copycat himself pointing a finger on someone who’s never copied or remixed any other’s song! What a weirdo! Bappi should lose some weight and stop wearing shades. Maybe then he can see clearly.
Isko Loboj Sudharne ka Jorurat hai….:)
The yahoo link gives the incomplete story. The title of the article seeks a distorted tabloid like cheap publicity- not expected from PFC.
The original interview was published on HT Cafe on 04 June 2009 and can be read here.
~uh~,
That link you posted here shows him more arrogant and funny at the same time, than the Yahoo sub-article. Where is the cheap publicity part and PFC? Take it lightly my friend.
Bappida! entertaining to the core..as always :D
Jai Ho a version of Mozart’s 40th…
Yes it is quite similar to Mozart’s 40th and Salil’s version of it in Itna Na Mujh Se Tu Pyaar Badha
@Tejas: This line ‘Lahiri “claims that the superhit Jai ho is a reworking of his own 80s hit Ramba ho.” which is a convenient interpretation of Lahiri’s quote Like my song, Ramba ho ho ho has now become Jai ho ho ho. Nothing is new for Bappi Lahiri by PFC.
The PFC article is misleading and if it was supposed to be funny, the original interview is a funnier read.
Thank me.
The quote is on the third line of the linked article. I don’t see any interpretation done here. it’s a direct quote from the referenced link.
@Oz: Okay. I stand corrected. Probably the link to the yahoo article, which has done the interpretation, is the culprit.
LOL! Rambha Ho itself is a shameless rip off of French group Gibson Brothers’ song “Que Sera Mi Vida”.
