James Cameron has been working on Avatar for over 10 years now, spending much time in the technology development to create exactly what he wants in Avatar. The movie is scheduled to release in December 2009. Here’s a 40 minute audio recording of Cameron talking about Avatar including many pointers to the special cameras used, software and technology, aspect ratio, how the 2D and 3D versions will be different and the consistent hurdles he’s facing to bring a technology on screen that’s been specially developed for the movie.
