Great Songs in Not-So-Popular Movies
Satyendra Jha | Movies, Talking-Points | May 19, 2009 at 1:37 am
Note:The earlier title sounded radical, so I went ahead with it. I had my own reasons for that, and had nothing personal / judgemental about the movies mentioned in the article. Evidently, it was not liked by many, and it definitely sent a wrong signal to many. I have decided to edit the title of the post, to make it less controversial.
Hmmm, most of you must have guessed it by now. This post is a result of the discussions on various occasions about great songs in not-so-popular movies, which was most recently discussed on a post by Pratim D. Gupta about the BOSS, Rahul Dev Burman.
The discussion forum veered towards how some of the gems of BOSS have been filmed in some really forgettable movies, and someone suggested a write-up on the same. Well, here I am. Can’t say this post is going to be exhaustive or even authoritative on the subject, but I have tried to compile some such examples by searching IMDb and Wikipedia, and when all else failed, directly googling the song. I have tried to give the names of the movie, year of release, singer, music director, and in some cases, the lyricist and the actor(s) on whom the song has been filmed. Errors are all mine, since I have tried to go by my own knowledge wherever all these search engines have failed me. Incomplete information might be found wherever I decided not to hazard a guess and look like a novice by giving wrong information. Any suggestions / corrections are welcome, and I hope this post and the corresponding comments lead all of us to have a more comprehensive compilation on the subject. The listings are not in any particular order, but whatever kept coming to my mind. So, here goes….
Roz Roz Aankhon Tale: Jeeva (1986), Asha Bhosle & Amit Kumar, RDB, Gulzar, Sanjay Dutt – Mandakini: What a song, and what a waste of a movie. Typical three paragraph lyrics, goose-bumps stuff. Almost all of us have heard the song, but can’t say many of us have watched the daaku-movie.
Bahut Door Hokar Bahut Paas Ho Tum: Namumkin (1988), Kishore Kumar, RDB, Sachin Bhowmick, Mukesh Khanna: Not much known about the movie, except that it was a Hrishikesh Mukherjee disaster. But the song is a rare gem, hardly found on many Kishore-collection.
Kya Jaanu Sajan, Hoti Hai Kya Gham Ki Shaam: Bahaaron Ke Sapne (1967), Lata, RDB, Majrooh Sultanpuri, Rajesh Khanna – Asha Parekh: Once again, an RDB gem, brought out of hibernation by Dil Vil Pyaar Vyaar (a sporadic ode to the BOSS). The lilting ‘antara ‘ has to be heard to be believed. Amazing is the word.
Mujhe Choo Rahi Hain, Teri Garm Saansein: Swayamvar (1980), Lata – Rafi, Rajesh Roshan, Gulzar: Haven’t watched the movie myself, so sont know whether it has been picturised on Shashi Kapoor or Sanjeev Kumar, but heroine is Hema. One of the last few songs sung by Rafi, but you can’t deny the voice-quality being ethereal.
Bataao Tumhe Pyaar Kaise Karoon: Santosh (1989), Nitin Mukesh – Asha, Laxmikant – Pyarelaal, filmed on Manoj Kumar. Not much heard, but it grows on you after a few listenings. Try it.
Kya Jaano, Main Hoon Kaun, Maara Hua Zindagi Ka: Bandhe Haath (1973), Kishore, RDB, Majrooh, Amitabh Bachchan: One of the initial pre-Zanzeer movies of AB, where he played a double role. It flopped, as was usual then for AB, but the song remained, and any Kishore compilation worth its salt would have this song.
Roop Tera Aisa Darpan Me Na Samaaye: Ek Baar Muskura Do (1972), Kishore, OP Nayyar, Indeevar, Deb Mukherjee – Tanuja: The only claim to fame of this movie is this song, apart from the fact that it was a family show for Ram Mukherjee, where Shobhana Samarth, her daughter Tanuja, and cousins Joy & Deb Mukherjee were all together. Pity Kajol wasn’t born then; else we would have had something more to cheer about.
O Hansini: Zehreela Insaan (1974), Kishore, RDB, filmed on Rishi Kapoor: Hardly anyone remembers the movie today, but the song is a cult.
Ehsaan Mere Dil Pe Tumhara Hai Doston: Gaban (1966), Rafi, Shankar – Jaikishan, Hasrat Jaipuri, Sunil Dutt: Timeless ode to friendship.
Aur Iss Dil Mein Kya Rakha Hai: Imaandar (1987), Suresh Wadkar, Kalyanji – Anandji, filmed on Sanjay Dutt and Anita Raaj: One of my all time Suresh Wadkar song.
Kaa Karoon Sajni, Aaye Na Baalam: Swami (1977), Yesudas, Rajesh Roshan, filmed on Dheeraj Kumar in raag Bhairavi.
Chaand Ko Kya Maaloom, Chaahta Hai Use Koi Chakor: Lal Bangla (1966), Mukesh, Usha Khanna, Indeevar. Don’t know the name of the actor, but I have watched the B&W movie, song is picturised on a taanga.
Tum Kitni Khoobsurat Ho: Jangal Mein Mangal (1972), Kishore, Shankar – Jaikishan, filmed on Kiran Kumar & Reena Roy: Let the name of the movie be as-corny-as-it-gets, and let the ‘hero’ be Kiran Kumar, you can’t take anything away from the song. Hear it to believe it…
Neele Neele Ambar Pe: Kalaakar (1983), Kishore, Kalyanji – Anandji, Kunal Goswami – Sridevi: There was nothing much to write about the movie, but the song is a cult by any standards.
There are many more such songs, but the post is getting quite lengthy, so I will just give the songs and the movie name:
Mungda (Inkaar – 1978 – best known song of Usha Mangeshkar, and her sole bread-winner in concerts)
Kaali Ghata Chhayee, Prem Rut Aayee (Kaali Ghata – 1980)
Lalla Lalla Lori AND Suhaani Chandni Raatein (Mukti – 1977)
Jidhar Dekhoon Teri Tasweer (Mahaan – 1983, RDB)
Rafta Rafta Dekho Aaankh Meri Ladi Hai (Kahani Kismat Ki – 1973)
Chandni Raat Mein Ek Baar Tumhe Dekha Hai (Dil-e-Nadaan – 1982)
Dheere Dheere Subah Hui (Haisiyat – 1984)
Kiska Rastaa Dekhe (Joshila – 1973, RDB)
Neend Churake Raaton Mein (Shareef Budmash – 1973, RDB)
Toone O Rangeele Kaisa Jaadoo Kiya AND Humein Tumse Pyaar Kitna (Kudrat – 1981, RDB)
Kabhi Kabhi Sapna Lagta Hai (Ratandeep – 1979, RDB)
Bhanwre Ki Gunjan Hai Mera Dil (Kal Aaj Aur kal – 1971)
Ab Ke Saawan Mein Jee Dare (Jaise Ko Taisa – 1973, RDB)
Baali Umar Ne Mera Haal Wo Kiya (Awargi – 1990)
Ungli Mein Angoothi (Ram Avtar – 1988)
Tu Jab Jab Mujhko Pukaare (Kurbaan – 1991)
Hum Tumhe Itna Pyaar Karenge (Bees Saal Baad – 1988)
Laagi Tumse Mann Ki Lagan (Paap – 2003)
Maula Mere Maula (Anwar – 2007)
In my opinion, most of the songs from Vishesh Films would qualify for this article hands-down, but then, it might as well need a separate post, such is the volume of those songs, so presently, I would give it a rest. Readers are requested to contribute their own take on the subject, to make this article more comprehensible.
PS: BTW, thinking out loud, how come most of these songs have RDB as the music director? Food for thought…

Jha saab,
Sorry Dost, but am hugely disappointed with the post.. Dont write for the sake of writing a post..
and If Passion is not your driver, dont get Wikipedia/Google on the Driver Seat..
When you write Kamal in Keechad, it is more important that you know what Keechad is more than Kamal.. Without seeing the films, how can you be judgmental on the basis of web search..
contd..
Pavan-ji, I appreciate your concern on the issue, but let me assure you that I have watched most ofthe movies in which these songs feature, and which have been mentioned.
.
I am sorry if I sounded like being judgemental, but honestly, I didnt like most of them, and would have loved to find these songs in a better work of cinema.
1. Namumkin
It had a bigger Kamal in the form of Kishore Gem “Ae Zindagi Huee Kahaan Bhool”. One of the last outings of Kishore with RDB.
Also Mukesh Khanna was nowhere seen in the film.. Have seen the film (Dr. Sriram Laagoo, Om Shivpuri, Zeenat, Sanjeev Kumar),… Produced by an NRI, Shot in USA (unusual for Hrishida). Could have been a decent thriller but Hrishida was not in top form in different conditions..
2. Kya Jaanu Sajan, Hoti Hai Kya Gham Ki Shaam:
BKS was a decent film.. and Kya jaanu has not lost its shine in so many years.. still as popular as it was.. so as other songs of the film, “Aaja piya tohe pyar doon or Chunari sambhaal Gori”. Absolutelyout of place.. Crediting Dil vil Pyar Vyar is a joke.. One of the first “Twin Track” experimentation by Big Boss..
contd..
3. Mujhe choo rahi hai..
Swayamvar was again a decent entertainer and a hit .. The song can not be called rare as it still being played with fans and radio..
4. Kya Jaano, Main Hoon Kaun, Maara Hua Zindagi Ka:
Who can forget this Kishore Gem (and the Bangla version in Rajkumari is a super duper hit)..
5. Roop Tera Aisa Darpan Me Na Samaaye: Ek Baar Muskura Do (1972), Kishore, OP Nayyar, Indeevar, Deb Mukherjee – Tanuja:
“The only claim to fame of this movie is this song”
All the songs of this film were hit and popular even today be it Kishore’s angry young man in “Kitne Atal The Tere Iraade, Tu Auron ki kyun ho gayee”, or philosophical best “Savere ka Sooraj Tumhare Liye Hai”, or even the title track.. Even all other 6-7 songs can be heard today..
6. O Hansini
Gem of a song, but would have loved if you had included Mere dil se ye nain (Shailendra singh, Asha).. one of the best romantic compositions of that time and ofc the BOs.
7. Ehsaan mere dil pe..
Aah you include Gaban in this list, does it means you think Gaban was a bad picture?
contd..
PS: BTW, thinking out loud, how come most of these songs have RDB as the music director? Food for thought…
Just had my Lunch… and the answer is, you never tried to explore beyond his world..
—
Well, I liked your play-list.. still the context (of fitting those songs to a theme, missing more deserving ones) of the post and lack of research (specially the passion quotient) made me comment this aggressively.. Request to do a bit of labor when writing in the name of passion…
-Pavan
The best thing is to spend a little time with the films before posting on whatever you write…
pavan-ji: sirjee, the idea was not to thrust my likes / choices on anyone, nor in being judgemental. i have indeed watched most of the movies mentioned in the post, and i do agree with you that not all the movies were as bad as they are being perceived by this article.
.
to a great knowledge-house of trivia on hindi films like you, (and I really mean it, considering your own blog-site, which I dig religiously), most of the movies / songs may look very familiar to you, but for many others, the same songs may not be so well known. case in point: ek baar muskura do.
.
yeah, i realise that i missed the other song from namumkin, which u hv suggested.
I am not being judgemental on the choice of songs but there are some films that can’t be dubbed as Keechad… at all. Swami being one, so is mukti. disappointed with the criteria adopted by the writer. But as they say to each his own..
“the idea was not to thrust my likes / choices on anyone, nor in being judgemental.”
Did I said that? did pointed out it being a play list more than an article for the reason that the point you were trying to make was missing…
Even if we go with the point, When you talk of such films (e.g. Take Pancham which you’ve referred a lot in the post), some of the biggest in this league (core theme of the post) were not at all featured.. Like Sitamgar (What a brilliant score, each one is a gem), Duniya, Dev Anand Movies Post Tere Mere Sapne (So Many, with many good scores), Dharam Karam, Mazil Manzil, Zamane Ke Dikhana Hai, Heera-Panna, Romance, Aar Paar, Mere Jeevan Saathi,Alag Alag Sunny are all missing ..You cant ignore them when making such a list.. (and believe me I haven’t even quoted 100s of obscured names, which could feature here but all popular ones)..
Had this post came on any other blog (or personal one) I wouldn’t have cared, but PFC surely deserves better..
Should be enough food for thought?
for those who are taking the meaning of ‘keechad’ literally, i mentioned in the beginning of the post of the words being only a figure of speech.
.
it need not be taken literally for all the movies in question. rather, the objective was to have movies which are otherwise not so well known, or may not have been successful at the BO, but the song(s) of such movies became quite famous.
point taken for “keechad” what about “faaltoo”? You have mentioned clearly at a few places.. so it was surely a mistake to integrate the films which are not keechad or faaltoo but not so popular (should have an intro para on that and a common binding context)..
anyway my intention of being a little angry is for you to take a bit care and spend little time in what you write before publishing a post.. dont like thrashing here but have no other way!… missing the club…
Jha- I guess it would have looked better if you had mentioned it very clearly that this is all about popular songs from not so popular films. The title definitely makes people misunderstand your intention. As an example I will say that movies like Swami ,Joshila or even Paap are definitely good movies if not great.Having said that I’ll still say that the list of songs is quite good.
pavan-jee, i really appreciate all the suggestions that u hv given, here as well as on other posts. yes, even im missing the club already, new as I might be in the system…
.
i sincerely thought i had explained in the initial paras abt my intention as well as the source from where I got the idea to write abt the topic.
.
still, to make matters clear, I once again reiterate that the disclaimer has been given in the beginning abt my ignorance of the depth of the matter in certain cases, and I am open to stand corrected on the issue.
.
Let it be a learning curve for me as well.
@Sethu: boss, i hope u wud appreciate my predicament for the inclusion (or non of it) of certain words in the title of the article… this post deals with songs & movies, and both are taboo for me in the title, in whatever permutation / combination.
.
btw, im ready to hazard that risk, but tell me can i edit the title of the post right now? or can u do it?
@ Jha- I do appreciate your predicament.
My suggestion to you is to mail the editors & mention clearly what you want to be edited and replaced. The only reason I mentioned my feeling was that I felt your efforts must not be misunderstood by people.
thanks sethu. will do it pronto.
Jha saab: being in advertising, i can connect with your heading a lot better! exaggeration worx like magik for us… at all times… just recently we did an ad for Bajaj XCD where we said “test drive this bike & after that if you buy any other bike, we pay for it.” somewhere in the ad there was a *Conditions apply. LOL. :-) I appreciate the context of your article & yes, most of mahesh bhat movies belong here. Cheerz!
@ magik: first things first. wow, its so great to know u were a part of that ad-campaign of Bajaj XCD bike. i really like the graphics of the ad.
.
thanks for understanding the predicament, but the intention was not to catch the eye-balls, but to avoid the words “film / cinema / movies / songs” in the title, else, I end up not being able to access my own article from my office (damn firewalls…)
.
anyways, the common wish prevails, and I have changed it to be more politically correct. hope it doesnt offend anyone anymore.
.
@ pavan-jee: hope the words in the title do not offend u any more. your suggestions were really helpful in the beginning.
.
@ Sethu: thanks for the support. i have already hazarded it.
Satyendra: Good idea behind the post and you did bring out some gems from the not-so-great films. May be a part 2 of the post will mollify Pavan (why the extra “jee” for my good ol’ friend, I don’t know).
Regarding RDB, I had done a post on that aspect on his death anniversary a year back. Pasting the link in case you’ve not read it (also minor self promotion isn’t too bad:)
http://passionforcinema.com/remembering-rdb-the-real-mighty-heart/
@ subrat: thanks for the kind words, and for understanding. well, i really respect pavan-jee a lot, and I keep visiting his blog-space very regularly. considering his knowledge / experience / exposure in the matter, the reverence comes naturally. hence the “jee”.
.
thanks for the link. i had not read it earlier. and its a really great post…
.
lemme plan part2 of the post. (hope pavan-jee has seen the revised nomenclature of part1)
Jha saab!
(wont mind being called by the same name, jee is surely a torture in the forum of friends irrespective of age/experience/knowledge about by a common thread of passion for cinema.. still a student (not a professor:)) like many of us..
“@ pavan-jee: hope the words in the title do not offend you”
Write the posts on your conviction.. fight with the commentor whoever he/she is, offend him/her if you have strong conviction in your theme… I did mentioned that I liked your “play list”, but not the thread you used to combine them (found that strong conviction missing too).. Enjoy the hits and hitback with a better punch..
btw less controversial means less comments and less hits, bad for PFC..
How can I forget that I was thrashed by readers on the IPL post which was termed as most cynical post on the group:).. and while my other posts got a few comments that got about 100 in no time.. and I enjoyed every bit of that..
Looking forward to your next post…
-Pavan
@Magik
Aha so it was you and your teams brain behind that XCD ad ,making an XCD look and sound like a Hayabusa….LOL
@ Vineet: i was just a teeny-weeny part of the team, at the bottom of the ranks. but yes, otherwise guilty as charged. We do over the top advtg. very often… LOL. Ganda hai par dhanda hai ye!
Well, Mujhe chhoo rahi hai” is picturized on Maushmi Chatterjee and Shashi Kapoor and not on Hema.
@Magik(16),
Exaggeration in passion has no match.. but exaggeration in facts and content on a forum like PFC can back bite..
BTW most of the people who buy products by watching exaggerated ads would be categorised as ?
“I appreciate the context of your article & yes, most of mahesh bhat movies belong here. Cheerz!”
Dont think so. you cant put Arth, DHKMN, Sadak, LKDR, Ashiqui, Sir, Ghulam, HHRPK in the list of forgotten or obscure films..
Likewise Footpath, Junoon, Gunaah , Naaraaz, Tadipar, Milan, Naazayaz, Chaahat or Angaarey never had any Kamal in songs..
The exceptions could be Jurm, Criminal and Zakhm..
@ Jha- saw the “renovation” done to the post
I’m sure no body would find any objection whatsoever now!!!
BTW, ‘Mujhe chhoo rahi hai’ is picturized on Maushmi Chatterjee and Shashi Kapoor.
Good post!
.
Below are some songs after the 90’s:
.
> Aakhen Bhi Hoti Hai – Haasil (not a bad movie, but a quickly forgotten one)
> Saawan Barse Tarse Dil – Dahek
> Chup Tum Raho (and other songs) – Is Raat Ki Subah Naheen (good movie, but few have watched it)
> Tumhe Chand Chahiye To – Charas (not a great song though)
> Chal Chal Mere Sang Sang – Astitva (again, good movie, but hardly viewed by anyone)
> Jab Naheen Aaye The Tum, Tujh Sang Bandhi Dor – Dev
> Chand Ki Roshni – Home Delivery
> Aao Na – Kyun Ho Gaya Na (song is a classic, but the movie will be forgotten soon)
>Tum Bin Kya Hai Jeena – Tum Bin
@ pavan: thanks for the kind words. well, conviction is a relative term. i had it for this post as well, but probably not so much, as i had for my salman Khan post. so, i fought tooth n nail there, but succumbed more easily here.
.
besides, if the charge is from the public in general, i would feel likr justifying. however, if the comments come from the collective wisdom of the ‘respcted’ within the fraternity, then im bound to take a step back and reflect upon my creation, however convinced i may be of the matter in hand.
.
hope u know by now the reason of my not choosing certain words in the title. but as u said, i had conviction, so i hazarded. sethu’s sugestion helped tremendously… (thanks sethu)
* humko aajkal hai, intezaar, koi aaye leke pyaar…. (sailaab)
* lagne laga hai mujhe aajkal, ki tum saaz chhedo main gaaoon gazal… (chor aur chand)
Woh Din-Chaand Sa Roshan Chehra-Jatin Lalit
Zindagi-Haasil-Jatin Lalit
Bas Ek Pal(songs by Vivek Philip were also excellant eventhough album was a hit due to Mithoon songs)
All Ankahee songs(Pritham)
Khoobsurat-(Songs other than hit Khoobsurat are also good)
Songs from Akshay Kumar film Sangharsh
Dil Leke Dekho-Some good typical JL songs
Rok Sako To Rok Lo-Pale imitation of JJWS-some good typical JL songs
Bhagmati-a beautiful song by Suresh Wadekar-Vishal Bharadwaj
* tum mere ho, bas mere hi mere ho… (betaabi – chandrachur singh – vishal bhardwaj)
Roz roz aankhon tale (Jeeva – sanjay dutt, mandakini, R D Burman/Gulzar)
Mitwa Re (Shyam Ghanshyam – Chandrachur/Arbaaz, Vishal Bhardwaj)
@ hansal: thanks for your presence and comments. Jeeva song has been covered in the main post. Mitwa re by VB is certainly a great add.
Aaee zanjeer ki jhankaar (Razia Sultan – Khaiyyam, singer – Kabban Mirza)
@ hansal#36: absolutely. and talking of razia sultan, the evergreen “aye dil-e nadaan..” certainly deserves a mention
In my opinion, every single song from Razia Sultana qualifies as ‘great’
suno zara from ‘Bada Din’. another jatin lalit’s forgotten melody.
Hey Satyen…one more to your list…’Tum mile…dil khile’ from Criminal…a real criminal of a movie, but a great composition by MMKreem….
If we think ‘Paheli’ was not that popular, then ‘Dheere Jalna…Dheere Jalna’ would also be counted as one of the gems composed by MMKreem and considered a great song sung by Sonu…
Talking about Telugu songs….one of my favourite from not so popular movie is the song from ‘Antham’….’nee navvu cheppandi naku…nen evarro emito’…A wonderful song composed by RDBurman and sung by the thespian SPBalasubramaniam….yep!!!
sridhar – I know that SPB has acted in many films, but I will still hesitate to call him a ‘thespian’
Hi Satendra,
Too openeded category, as one ‘popularity’ is slightly subjective, as it in not exactly measurable as Box office collection
But, I get the idea of this post.
I love that Jeevan ke Din Chhote sahi, Hum bhi bade dilwale from Bade Dilwale. I have not seen the movie, dunno how good, bad it was. But definitely the song is more popular than the movie.
And music is by RDB again.
Aditya Pant – Okies bro, chalo lets have a chai. Anyways, your article on Geeta Dutt is fab!
@ uh: bade dilwala had a few good songs, one of them being “kaho kaise rasta bhool gaye, achhe to ho dilbar jaan” filmed on aruna irani & rishi kapoor.
@ marty #39: hey, absolute gem of a suggestion re; bada din. thanks. the movie by anjan dutta was not so great, though shabana n marc robinson did a decent job. but the songs were really great…
No songs from JP Dutta movies? Yateem, Ghulami, Refugee, Hathyar?
@ Sanjeev: fortunately or unfortunately, all JP Dutta movies, whether they make money or not, are never ‘not-so-popular’. considering the limiting clause in the title itself, JP Dutta movies have not been included.
.
as an aside, yes i agree, some of the songs in the JPD movies are really awesome. Zihaale masti.. from Ghulami is my all time fav.
O Senior O Senior .. (picturised on sangeeta Bijlani and Rishi Kapoor) from hathyar is also one such great song from JPD stable.
Satyendra@47
I think mere pi ko pavan from same film is hugely superior to it. Highly emotional and so typically Laxmi-Pyare. Is this the only film where they worked with Gulzar?
—–
Also consider
Doob Jana Hai… Main Meri Patni Aur Woh
Tera Saath Hai to…Pyasa Sawan
Aur Kya Ahde Wafa (Sunny) and Allah Mere Chehra (Naqaab-Raj Khosla). I think they should be included.
——–
Pehla Pehla Pyar Hai.. from Kaka-Farha starrer Woh Phir Aayegi.
Sorry, my comments are too many and one after the other. But these songs are coming back one by one..
Dheere Se Chupke Se… Meherbaan (A Prabhuji film. Dilip Sen Sameer Sen)
—-
Dil Pe Tere Pyar Ka..Shatranj (Prabhuji again)
–
Pyar Kabhi Kam Nahi KArna…Prem Pratigya (Prabhuji again. It would have been a better song if Bappida hadnt insisted on singing it himself)
—
Aaj Kal Yaad Kuch Aur Rehta Nahi…Nagina(Even the laboured voice of Munna Aziz cant take away from the beauty of this composition)
—-
Thinking of more songs…
wow sanjeev. mere pi ko pavan is an amazing song, n yes, much more LP stamp on it. cant say whether they workedwith gulzar only this once. maybe sethu/ratnakar/pavan/uh can throw more light on it.
.
aur kya ahde-wafa..from Sunny is a much celbrated song, ib noth suresh wadkar & lata version, but honestly, the film was well recognised and appreciated then, since it had dharam paaji & sunny coming together for the first time, even before sultenat. so it wont really qualify here, IMO.
@ sanjeev: yes, despite the munna aziz / bappi-da / prabhuji factor, the songs u hv mentioned r really worthy. in fact, some of prabhuji films arealso not as bad as they are made out to be or perceived by the aam junta.
Tum sa koi pyaara koi masoom – KHUDDAAR (Kumar Sanu and Alka Yagnik)
Sambhala hai maine – Naraaz
Dil mera ek tara – 16th September
@ sandeep: ever noticed the striking similarity between the antara of “sambhala hai maine” and “chura ke dil mera”? incidentally, both r anu malik songs.
A very good attempt. There are many such songs by music directors like Naushad. It is a pity that sometimes the failure of a moview robs away the popuarity of a song.
bang on arjun.
Mujhe Choo Rahi Hain, Teri Garm Saansein: Swayamvar (1980), picturised om Shashi Kapoor and Mausami.
Mungda (Inkaar – 1978 : this movie was a golden jubilee movie and a huge blockbuster of 1978.
