Trade Analyst don’t understand the REAL value of quality Actors & quality Pictures
Interesting interview of KK with DNAIndia:
When actors like Irrfan and me succeed people try to find out reasons as to why we have succeeded. Whatever opportunities we have received, we have earned them and would have got them irrespective of any other reason (multiplex revolution in this case.) People have to understand that a good actor will eventually find his way through

Kay Kay is an actor who deserves to be a STAR. I first saw him and Irrfan in a tv serial called Darr. I never watched much television those days, but these two guys had something special about them.
Nobody has given anything to them on the platter. They deserve each and every ounce of their recognition.
But Kay Kay shouldn’t lose heart. When film history is written, he along with Pankaj Kapoor will go down as one of the best actors of Indian Cinema.
Where is Pankaj Kapur these days?!!
Really sad, Kay Kay was wonderful in Sarkar…and have you guys seen Bhopal Express? thats another excellent performance…Its been a decade since…hes another underrated guy…he gets work but not acclaim…
@Honhaar Goonda – After great performances in Bhavna Talwar’s Dharam and RajKumar Sanothoshi’s Halla Bol, you would see him in Bhavna Talwar’s take on comedy “Awasthi”, he would also be producing his sons next movie…
When i remember Sarkar, the 1st thing that comes to my mind is KK’s small but powerhouse performance.There is a breakfast scene where Amitabh,Abhi and KK are shown together.He just overshadows them..man!
I believe Sarkar would have been a landmark movie, if KK had done the part of Abhishek.
But he is getting substantial role snow-a-days.
And the lust in his eyes when he interviews the starlet…!
@5 – Bharat Bhushan
I think its understatement to say he overshadowed both AB and AB jr. If you look at the nuances in that scene, he was the one who looked authentic specially the way all of them ate. Catch it next time if u missed it.
@6 — Joyjeet
I am glad u noticed that.. I thought it was just me…
Whatever happened to Manoj Bajpai and Ashutosh Rana ??…..like Irfan and KayKay they, a couple of years ago, showed a lot of promise..its pity to see them almost disappear
i remember watching darr too..it was really a great seris on a serial killer…think that was written by anuraag kashyap..totally fell for kk when i saw it..
