One of the best movies in the Neo-Noir genre. Russel Crowe is totally bad ass, Guy Pearce is brilliant, Kevin Spacey outstanding. Add to it strong supporting acts from Danny De Vito, James Cromwell, David Strathaim and Kim Bassinger.

Can you believe it, I caught the very last show for this movie that was played in Chennai back then. The show was packed but made way for a run-of-the-mill actioner at Sathyam cinemas. Back then it was just a three-screen affair.
Goes to show that even though people liked the movie, the movie house wasn’t keen on giving it an extended run.
Amazing movie, differs ever so slightly from the book. But a great movie experience.
