Evelyn Tu, sends in details of the NJ South Asian Independent Cine Fest. The festival’s happening at Rutgers University Piscataway campus Sept. 19-21. Evelyn also lists some movies that she is looking forward to that include:

The World Unseen, starring Lisa Ray, Sheetal Sheth, Parvin Dabas and Nandana Sen, (haven’t seen this as yet)
Pancham Unmixed, featuring 40 Bollywood industry figures reflecting on the composer’s life, (NOT TO BE MISSED!!!)
Amal, starring Naseeruddin Shah, Roshan Seth, Seema Biswas, Rupinder Nagra, Koel Purie, (Gem of a movie by Richie Mehta)
Kissing Cousins, starring Samat Chakrabarty, who plays one of the judges in Loins of Punjab Presents, (we didn’t catch this one at IFFLA earlier this year) and
Sari Wrap, starring the very cute and funny Rasika Mathur, who was part of the same screening block as our movie at SAIFF last year. (Be sure to catch this one!)

So pack your sandwich boxes and your picnic gear, and plan a weekend at the festival. And don’t forget to send us back your iViews! For more details check out the festival website
