Awesome! The film delightfully retains an approachable mood, no big commercial angles and great looking faces under heady lights. Waiting for more….

  3. The story does seem to be like Catch Me If You Can, but still would love to see DB’s take on Sadi Dilli, and also for sake of Abhay Deol and Paresh Rawal.

Had not this actress [in white hood (3rd pic)] played a police inspector in 123?
She had such a good comic performance there. She must do a Dhamal here along with Paresh Rawal.

I just came across this Abhay Deol film ‘Meridian Lines’ by Venod Mitra (who is he?) and co-written by Anurag Kashyap and VM.
It also stars Konkona SS, Irfan K, Soha AK and Raima Sen. Surprising that I haven’t read @ this before at all. Don’t think its released. But the team involved makes it seem quite interesting. Anyone here know about this film??

meridian lines is complete and is in post. this is not catch me if you can, what’s wrong with you people. why are you in so much hurry to figure out what is this film copied from. this one is based on a true story , it happened in delhi few years ago, it was on all news channels and papers. they have just changed the name from vicky to lucky and have had fun with it. please throw away your original source finding radars and try and give credit where it’s due.

  17. @Tushar: Did i say the movie is copied from Catch Me If You Can?, I only said the storyline does seem similiar, about a con man, but thats it.

Even otherwise, i am looking forward to see this movie, so am not very much bothered about it.

    @Ashwin(15),
Thanks. I dont recall what Garam Masala was. I am not sure if I have seen it or not. This is the problem with new films, Its difficult to recall them after a month.
I recall Traffic Signal. but dont recall Neetu Chandra’s role in it. I recall only Kunal Khemu for good performance and one other person for the bad performance :) .
But as Haryanvi Inspector in 123, Neetu Chandra was very good and she appeared only in two scenes.
Lara Dutta in JBJ and Neetu Chandra in 123 and Isha Koppikar in Kya Cool hain Hum and Salam -E-Ishq, proved their competency in comedy. They were authentic performers in these roles. They should get better and bigger chances to show case their comedy skills.
They are perfect to make an “all women in lead characters” kind of film.

  19. ashwin ashwin says:

hmmm Neetu chandra was the romantic interest of Silsila in Traffic signal and garam Masala starred Akshaye kumar with 3 new leading ladies and was filmed(directed) by priyadarshan..

5 years down the line even i dunno whether ill remember these films..

even i loved Lara Dutta’s performance in JBJ….yaah she could do a good job in comedy if given a chance..
Isha was hilarious in Kya cool hai hum..i must admit i enjoyed Kya kool hai hum a lot..with all its double meaning jokes…some of the scenes were outrageously hilarious….

    havent seen 123 and Salam e Ishq…..

    coming back to OLLO….
i saw dibakar’s interview on CNNIBN and was mighty impressed…..not many directors answer like that..
