Panel Discussion With Sharmishta Roy in LA

Hi Folks,

 Moving on…SAAFA has the pleasure of announcing a panel discussion with noted Art Director Sharmishta Roy (does most of Karan and Yash Raj films, yes, yes I know 99.9999% of the folks on this blog have an issue with them, I don’t and it is my event and I am known to be  a megalomaniac) , next Saturday, Feb 17th at the Ultrasuede Lounge in West Hollywood.

The panel will be entitled “Crossing All Worlds,” and will also feature producer Judith James (partner of Hollywood actor, Richard Dreyfus in his production company, Dreyfuss/James production)- Judith is producing a feature film with Oscar nominated Short Film director, Ashwin Kumar and Monique Caulfield, who is producing a film with Lara Dutta and John Cussack.

Sharmishta will take the audience through a powerpoint of actually recreating a set that will culminate in the set for a song from KANK (Kabhie Alvida Na Kehna). Details of the event are below:

India is no longer just the IT Mecca, filmmaker Monique Caulfield crosses the bridge as she looks to Bollywood for the leading lady of her upcoming film.  Hear Caulfield talk about what attracted her to the land of Bollywood beauties.
