Parzania n Guru…..posting it again
Parzania, as expected is not releasing in Gujrat. Rahul Dholakia was distributing the film himself in Gujrat and few other territories. But now exhibitors are scared to touch it. And thats obvious. Isn’t it ? When the Big Brother of Bollywood, Yashraj Films could not do anything about Fanna except few ads in newspapers saying “Fanna making this n that much crores and that too without gujrat” what can Rahul Dholakia do. But the good thing is he is getting lot of support but still its big task ahead……..
CNN IBN carried half hour special on Gujrat and Parzania. As asked by Oz, m putting the video links here. Its in three parts, interview with Rahul Dholakia, Naseeruddin Shah, Sarika and the Mody Family. Parzania is based on Mody’s real life story.

And talking about Guru. God, I dont how to react. One full page ad in Mumbai’s Bombay Times and Delhi’s Hindutan Times. With Abhishek Bachchan’s Guru pic in the backgroud, it has quote by Big B…..read this…When a father loses to his son – it is his biggest victory. I am proud to have lost to my son! — Amitabh Bachchan.
And just below the quote, text of some 50 smses have been put as…..Few of the hundreds of messages received by Amitabh Bachchan congratulating Abhishek Bachchan on his performance in Guru. Shit man shit!!! Har baap apne bete ke liye karta hai par itta !!!!????
And what timing, they know that with Salam-e-ishq releasing, the crowd will move to the new film. So, if Junior B cant get the crowd let Big B say big things to get the crowd and c mere bete ka kamaal!! Shamelessly cheap. I believe the other day somebody was telling me that “Money” Ratnam wants a hit film this time. And so poora Bachchan khandaan laga pada hai. After K3G – its all about loving your family, its A3B – its all about delivering a hit by family.
Thank God, some papers do have the courage to say everything straight forward. Check out the link….

And here’s one more small column that mid-day carried on wednesday —
What have you done with the Big B?
——————————————————————————–
big b in la-la land: Amitabh Bachchan
A section of the media thinks the Big B is over. But we think he’s gone positively cuckoo. No dahlings, we love Sexy Sam just as much as the paanwala down the road, but a recent “no holds barred” interview he gave almost had us reeling in dizzy disapproval!
Revelling in his newfound status as fortuneteller, he says about beloved beta Abhishek’s career graph post Guru, “Let me for once be immodest and predict that (Abhishek’s forthcoming films) Jhoom Barabar Jhoom, Sarkar 2 and Drona will be hugely successful films.”
Theek hai. A little over-enthusiasm for the son can be forgiven, but what do we make of statements like, “For all practical purposes, Abhishek is the hero of Dhoom:2. The film will go down in his record of successes as well… Abhishek has contributed in no uncertain terms in keeping brand Dhoom alive.”
Umm, for the record, Dhoom became a brand thanks to John Abraham and his Suzuki Hayabusa, while Dhoom:2 could have easily done without inspector, Jai Dixit. Honestly, did anybody see beyond Hrithik Roshan in the film? The audience was completely mesmerised by Hrithik’s magic, so papa Roshan didn’t have to give declarations in every paper and television channel about how he was the proud father of a fabulous son and wanted to see his film “100 times”.
Our verdict: no matter how much you drum fiction, it does not become a fact. You’re overdoing the ‘Abhishek is great in Guru’ act, Mr B.

Damn right man. Lightning struck me when I was reading that AB’s article on DNA’s website & I was like wut has happnd to dis guy. Where is all the ‘charishma’ ??? Finally we see the sexagenarian come down to his knees & accept that yes, even he is a human being who is a lil insecure of losing it all to SRK???? Big B, these stunts are really uncalled for… u r an institution in ur ownself… y stoop so low?
I think, that is interesting for all.
