so much for your post about being sorry to people who will not understand, I’m afraid you haven’t written the hindostanee properly even in the english script…
I think you mean “Lazzat” when you say Lajjat, and I think you mean “Raaz-e-mohabbat” when you say “raj-ye-mohabbat” and “alfaz”, when you say “alfaj”!!!!
The beauty of poetry is destroyed when it is not said correctly…

Lost in Transliteration…
I am sorry but failed to see your point.. specially when you are reading it in Roman… how does it matter whether the words are incorrect in some thing that is already non standard?.. Roman is only a work around for the people and you should not bother about such overlooking in transliteration…
The beauty is lost when the nukta is killed anyway whether in devnagri script or in this case roman (where there is very little scope for placing a nukta).. With Roman it is already a compromise on Beauty aspect… Since you are already compromising when reading in Roman, you should live with it and avoid nitpicking.. I am a big fan of Roman, but barring iTrans Project, no serious attempt has been made to standardize, so can live with it (probably not with Devnagri or Urdu Scripts)…

main aapse ittefaq rakhata hoon, par aap hi bataaiye Roman me z aur j me nukta to aasaani se fit ho sakta hai par ka, ga, fa aur kha ke saath ke nukte pe to kahin na kahin compromise hoga hi?
aap bataaiye ki roman me ga aur nukete ke saath ga ko kaise likhenge? kya use gha likhenge? ya mujhe koi standard bataaiye Roman me likhne aur padhne ke liye?
Mera kahna bas itna hai ki Roman (jo standard nahin hai) me nukte ye uske sound ko use nahin karna (galati to hai par) itni badi galati nahin hai… haan agar original hindostani (Devnagri ya Urdu) script me ajay saab (or any other author) agar aisa karte hain, to ye point out karana zaroor jaayaz hai.. waise sahi maayne me mujhe is post me agar takleefdeh agar kuchh lagaa to wo ki transliteration me english ke words ko nahin baksha gaya aur “Macbeth” ko “mackbeth” likhna ya “Shakespeare” ko “shakespere”, aur “merchant of venice ” ko “marchent of venice” padhna waakai me takleefdeh tha.. English script me english words ko mere hisaab se as it is use kiya jaana chahiye..
