Yesterday i was afraid that i would land up at the Sherlocks(Venue for the meet-up) with no one turning up, tried asking my roomie to join me just in case, he flatly refused saying..something i cannot print here, but, he sure would get some lashes whenever i get an oppurtunity. I check my email and see Aniruddha sending an email saying that he has been a staunch follower of PFC right from the No Smoking days and just moved to dallas 2 days ago…damn, wasnt i pleased? ask my mirror…its on baby…as Shivajee said..the Power of one..never underestimate the the power of one, but also Rajnikath said..ek se bhale do. So here we were..Aniruddha, om and Katrina…huh? who is Katrina?

Honhaar Goonda would have flown from UK to Dallas just to meet her, but, sorry it was not this Katrina.

Rewind it back to a couple od days back

I went to an event at a restaurant/bar with a friend of mine to meet another friend over there, he was talking to this lady..so after the usual pleasantaries, P, the friend says she is a part of an Indie-movie group in Dallas of which this lady is an organizer, so i go very cool. Obviously I ask if she sees any Hindi movies, she says..hell yeah..and tells how their group saw The Fall by Tarsem Singh, mighty cool and then she asks me a question which sent me into a frenzy, shock, awe, and more..the next one hour i was in heaven….

Who is your one favourite director

Well their is this one up and coming director called Anurag Kashyap, not sure if you have heard about him

My first shock was..WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anurag is world famous in Dallas…and then…geez..that is awesome..and i ask…do you follow his blogging…

now this really confused me..i thought she was fucking with me..coz, i myself have never liked any of my writings..

So she tells me about the dallas meet that i had posted about…eh? you like my writing in that? interesting..but who cares…she knows me..muaahhahah..and she follows pfc…been following pfc for more than 2 years

Guys, readers, gals, contributors…believe me…we as the authors, owners, editors, anyone associated with pfc are equally happy and elated to meet with a reader/commetor/lurker or whoever as much as you guys are, or maybe more…we love to be loved…so comeout speak up..no one is going to bite, no one is pompous..nor am i a 50 year old man as Aniruddha thought i was before i met him…grrrrrrr you son of a gun.

Katrina wants to go to the meet, but, only problem being she has to be at her dad’s place in Waco, which is a good 2-2.5 from Dallas. So i am like, ok no problem.we can meet some other day…but, nope, she wanted to meet on the designated date/time…you guys wont believe how unfucking believable that would be. You meet a person in random, who knows tons about Indian Movies, Who knows PFC and everybody, who knows every little controversy about PFC, every little article, and who asks me..Is Kartik Krishnan still in Bombay….hehe….this was surreal…so we plan for the Sunday meet.

I confirm with Aniruddha, and go and pick him up..now this kid, just moved from Louisiana after graduating and within two days is at PFC-Dallas meet…he is a pucca bengali..full of energyy, full of thoughts, opinion on everything, nonstop-non-nonsense…some of the points that he came up with…apart from him being a die-hard fan of Ram Gopal Verma…eh? ok we all are or were at some point of time…but get this…he is a huuge fan of Suniel ” Ladki Sehar Ki Ladki” Shetty….ayye yaa karoo mein kya sukooo sukoo..was also about marketing/Release of independent movies…it was worth a thought and a discussion for sure..he has promised to write about it…Ani..waiting buddy….

Ohh by the way..if you guys wanna swap parents with him…please do go ahead and book in advance..this dude’s parents are literraly forcing him to join Films…no really i mean it( saary from QSQT)…but banda wants to work for a couple of years and then jump…koi samjhao yaar isse( somebody make him see sense)….yeah man..lets trade our parents

On the whole..heheh..it was a great experience meeting up with Aniruddha and Katrina…had loads of fun..ohh and as Kat hadnt seen Aamir..we took her their..poor soul had to watch it without subtitles…We here at Dallas..for now just the three of us..if anyone else here..raise your hand…are planning movie nights..were either of us will host and the other will bring a dvd of movies that we havent watched..should be fun….

Planning on more such events…but you..yes you the one hiding here…you need to raise your hand beta…
