PFC FANATICS HINDI MOVIE RECOGNITIONS OF 2006
oz | Movies | March 10, 2007 at 11:29 am
We thought it was time to throw our hat in the ring of the infinite award ceremonies going on these days…
with a difference. We, the authors (or atleast those authors who took the time to participate) recognize the following movies in 2006, the performers and some of the behind the scene professionals. It is not our objective to give any of our loved movies a preference over the others. Rather it is a platform to show a list of those movies (Hindi and those in Bollywood) that had us keeping our faith intact… in movies and those talented people who helped create such entertaining 2 – 3 hours on screen.
The other half of these recognitions include the
The Grand ozies Run-Bhola-Run Recoginitions – movies and performance that made us Run to the nearest trash can or to the nearest pharmacy to cure our headaches or to the nearest psychiatrist.
You as a reader or author of PFC can vote on our selections, if you find anything in our list that matches your favorites
Enjoy the show

have’nt watched Khosla ka Ghosla yet. will do that first and vote next.
Great work Oz, Lets have our own awards in future.
Best story for Nagesh Kukunoor (Dor) is an incorrect nomination, because it was adapted from the Malayalam film ‘Perumazhakalam’; the credit for the story and part of the screenplay goes to the Malayalam director Kamal, and this is acknowledged in the credits too.
Wow
What is that KHOSLA KA GHOSLA
never heard of that…1st i thought its a bad slapstick…then i saw Ranveer & Vinay’s name in it…I gotta check that out asap.
Is it a good movie?
cheers
good work OZ
mainak, woww.. you haven’t seen KKG?!? better run and rent that one before you get a PFC beatdown! jk
awesome movie.. enjoy!
= Ranjit, you are right… but the authors are recognizing both originals and adaptations. I’ve added this in the recognition title to avoid further confusion.
= Mainak, 70% authors have selected Khosla ka Ghosla as their most preferred movie of 2006… here’s a rare oz review that speaks good about a movie for a change
… striker is right if you haven’t watched KKG you are so on the wrong side of PFC’s authors ;)
= Varun, don’t know about awards… but a recognition of those movies which made us forget everything for those 2-3 hours is our way of letting the people behind those movies know… that we loved their work…
DOR shold be there in Fanatics Most Preferred Hindi Movies of 2006 .
Oz mahashay, arya putr! Hamare saadar pranaam ka sweekar kijiye. aap ke yeh vishesh kalpana – ati sundar evam srijnaatmak hai. iss puny kaarya main aap ke anuj samaan, arya putr HG mahashay ke sahaay evam vishesh tippani ka vishist prasthaav karna kadaapi uchit evam nyay hai.
But seriously, this is killer job, bros. I can imagine the amount of time and PASSION that has made this effort possible. The real winners are you guys. CONGRATULATIONS!
(i have not seen Khosla Ka Ghosla either; have been meaning to catch it, but…..):-??
btw, Mithoon’s name is missing in music category for Bas Ek Pal; it was his tune feat. Atis Aslam that made waves..
What? Saif Ali Khan in Omkara- SUPPORTING ACTOR??? Can’t a film have 2 main leads? Iago/ Langda is definitely a lead character- often overshadowing and more pivotal than the title protagonist himself.
Oz, gr8 work ya. take a bow!!! u dersve one spcial award for allthis.
^:)^
Hey dat was cool. liked it.
Krrish and Dhoom 2 should be in the list of PFC Fanatics Run-Bhola-Run Movies of 2006.
Wizard
Funn-do stuff!
K3
“you haven
tony.. you and i won’t be the only ones :D we got a whole gang here that will ‘jump’ at this opportunity.. hehe
HG, not sure if you get the sahara channel.. but it’s been playing on there over the past few weeks, usually in the primetime hours..
N one more filmy story here…it was lying in cans for almsot 2years…nobdy was willing to distribute it. Finally UTV did it and marketed it really well. It worked.
Ronnie Screwala… Zindabad! UTV… Zindabad!
You know I never thought I’d say this, but after “Iqbal”, I see promise in Subhash Ghai’s Mukta Arts/Searchlight bringing in and promoting good, fresh, and different cinema…
= Tony, check your email.
Couldn’t we have had RDB in story/screenplay section as well?
Just landed on this after HG pointed here in another discussion.
One point…wasn’t RDB too overrated? I see it on top practically everywhere here. Forget everything else….editing? The editing killed what was Rahman’s best score in years. I expected better from people with a PFC.
Read this after getting the link from AK’s Howard Roark writeup comments section .. hereon I rant …
Deepak Dobriyal and Ranvir Sheorey lose out to Saif Ali Khan for ‘Best Supporting Actor’ .. un-fuking-believable. I thought Dobriyal should have won hands down.
And what is Saif doing in the ’supporting actor’ category anyways ? He should have been in the lead actors category.
Gul Panag from Dor should have been nominated. She did an excellent job on par with Ayesha Takia .. and she doesnt even figure in the nominations ?
Aamir Khan wins for Rang De Basanti. Eeeeppsss. Is it for that “breakdown at the table” scene ? With which every self-declared cinema-lover gets goose fuking bumps ?
A request to PFC. In all the award ceremonies, a group of people come together and choose the five or six nominated movies, on which they ask for a vote. It would be great if you could include a short note of explanation on why YOU have included the movie / actor / director / cinematograoher in the nominations.
