Sidney Sheldon might not have been sure about future so he had given title, “If Tomorrow comes”, to his most famous book. Nostradamus might not have counted progress of a thing called cinema in 21st century in his list of probable events but PFCOne ensures one thing that Cinema does not remain private property or prerogative of few chosen people active in the film world only. After PFCOne, they don’t have enough time to sit with proud on their self made thrones because new breed is approaching cinema from all corners of life. This does not matter people belong to which profession to earn their bread and butter, new technology has made it possible for them to use their cinematic imagination and passion to create something.

All people don’t live to surmount the life or every field of life, they just live and enjoy the journey. These people are not playing sports to win or lose but to enjoy the moments while their body and mind are involved in playing the game. To play is more important than to become champion. Humanity is enriched with the temperament of these people because they are never in competition with others and hence do not create an ugly world around them. They live and let others live.

Because they don’t have to win over others so they are not involved in ugly tricks to bring down others. Their passion is not business for them and they may earn sufficient from their regular jobs so they can enjoy the simple and pure joy of creating something imaginative.

PFCOne is a beginning in that direction. No doubt many will be there who would have entered in to this festival to win over others but many will be there just to enjoy their passion and these people will make a difference in future.

Hardly any of the participant could have got training in film making as Roman Polanski had got and that’s why when he made his 1-2 minute film “ The Murderer” then it was a complete film in itself where you cant add or remove anything. Just a perfect short film. Roman Polanski had all the technical facilities besides him to make his first ever short film but most of the participants here in PFCOne festival might not have got even help of professional softwares to edit their films leave alone help of skilled editor or cameraman.

Many film makers are making films and budget of their films go beyond atleast 50 Million Rupees and still their films suffer from many shortcomings. Many make films worth more than 300 Million Rupees and still their films cant overcome problems like editing, selection of poor story, selection of poor actors, bad camera work, overdose of harsh BMG (though mood of their story does not demand such BMG), wrong treatment of chosen story etc.

Its but natural that there will be many shortcomings in the entries submitted to PFCOne festival but they keeps hope alive that if these filmmakers get professional environment and kind of professional help like real filmmakers get then sky is the limit for these new filmmakers.

Cine world has got good future. Films submitted to PFCOne can be resulted from amateurish attempt of making a film but important thing is the fulfilment of converting desire in to the reality. These things are always dependent on the procedure of “do and learn”. Journey has got a good beginning and its going to be a fruitful journey altogether.

Maker always knows where he has gone wrong and honest comments always help him to correct his avoidable mistakes. Film makers of these short films will also get all kind of comments and through this experience they will learn to pick up the required justified analysis and leave the biased opinions as biased opinion whether its in favour or against their films does not help anyone in the end.

PFCOne is the biggest event happened on PFC. Today it may look a small event but it will penetrate deeply the existence of time and will affect the future of cine world.

Like there is a film in PFCOne where a kid is scolded by his mother when he opts unusual path in drawing and after some years same boy wins award for his imaginary graphics work. Whatever amateur factor is associated with this film but the concept is always fantastic and it has an important essence hidden behind the vision. Every child has to pass through that essense.

Today these film makers of short 1 minute films are kids but soon they will be growing up to show their matured creations.

PFC likes to take a step further or not but beginning of a chain reaction has just taken place and it will end up in bringing out films out of PFC banner. PFC will not be able to remain simply a place to discuss films and encourage filmmakers who are involved in making something different. Different kind of people have gathered here and who all have different kind of experience and this fact will pave a way for its further progress. Stagnation cant match with the basic concet of PFC.

If PFC remains just in that stagnant position then its like becoming a pond and PFC is a free flowing river and it has to flow and grow further.

With PFCOne, seed of SOMETHING has been sown and SOMETHING has taken a turn in the vast dimension of time and this turn will affect the future of cinema.

Remembering here an amazing poem written by famous painter Mr. MF Hussain.
